  • Corn Iowa is the main grower of corn in the U.S. Iowa is one of the best places to grow something like corn because it has a good amount sunny weather year round. The main reason corn is so important is that it basically is the ultimate resource. It can be used to feed all kinds of animals including cattle, chicken, pigs, and, of course, humans. Another way it can be used is that it can be turned into ethanol and be used for running all of our vehicles. It was used a long time ago in trade and used as money. Where is the main manufacturer of corn? Why is corn so important?
  • Foods made from Corn There are lots of products with corn in it, not just food. Corn is in foods such as gum, baby food, frozen products, ketchup, chocolate products, canned foods, tooth paste, peanut butter, and much more. 3. How many products are made from corn? Currently, 70 percent of corn commercially cultivated in the U.S. are genetically engineered.
  • Soybeans Soybeans became popular because it has little or no fat and it is great for vegetarians. It can also be broken down into many different types of ingredients and, as mentioned, can be a great ingredient. Not only that, but As a crop, soybeans are high in yield and easy to harvest; they grow well wherever corn is cultivated. Also, soy has been proven to lower heart risks and cholesterol. 4. Why are soybeans so important?
