2. Step 1: DO YOUR HOMEWORK
• This probably seems like a “duh” sort of thing
but not really.
• Homework isn’t due until the end of the unit, do
it before the night before the test
▫ You’ll get behind otherwise
• It’s stressful the night before!
• You feel behind in class if you
don’t do it!
3. Step 2: STUDY FOR YOUR TESTS
• “Oh I just did the review! That’s good!”
• Look over your notes!!! Not everything is on the
review! Stuff from past units is there too!
• Review past units!
4. Step 3: GET HELP
• Not everything in this class is easy. A lot of it is
complicated and some of it is really hard.
• Don’t get behind, ask for help right away.
• Jackson gets to school around 4:30am and is
here until 4pm there’s no reason not to get some
help
• It makes the class easier
• Sometimes everyone just needs one on one help
5. Step 4: STUDY SOME MORE
• It never hurts to study a lot…
Just saying….
Pick your grade!
Getting Motivated
6. What it takes to get an A
• Studying
• Doing your homework ontime (though it doesn’t
hurt to leave a problem or two on every
worksheet to save for review)
• Getting help when needed
7. What it takes to get a C
• Some effort
• Maybe getting help
• Doing 50% of the homework
• Not really studying
8. What it takes to get an E
• No effort
• Hah! What studying?!
• No homework or a few problems
• What’s getting help?
10. Step 5: UTILIZE PEOPLE IN YOUR CLASS
• Study together, work on the worksheets together
▫ It’s easier to ask a question from a friend
sometimes
▫ And friends/classmates can explain it better
(somestimes)
11. Overall just remember…
• To do your homework
• Study
• Get help
…And you will be absolutely fine.
