Elizabeth 1 was the long-ruling queen of England, ruling with relative
stability and prosperity for 44 years. Her full name was Elizabethan.
Queen Elizabeth was born on the September, 1533 in Greenwich, England.
She was a princess, shewas declared illegitimate but she eventually was
the queen in 1558 at the age of 25.
The Elizabeth era is often called the Golden Age. During her government,
she won wars and she protected England in the religious and the political
problems. Under Elizabeth the British Isles wereUnited for the Firsttime
as a nation.
