Through constructing this product, I learned about several new technologies: I quickly became accustomed to using a Mac and programs like Garage Band, which I used to create an intro theme, and Final Cut Express, which allowed me to easily edit footage and add effects. I also gained experience operating a camera on a tripod to capture different shot types. Photoshop enabled me to design graphics and edit images for the opening sequence. Overall, these programs and equipment helped me produce a more polished final product.

2. Mac
• This task introduced me to an Apple Mac for the first
time, I quickly became accustom to its differences
and took advantage of the programs on it to produce
my product.

3. Garage Band
Garage Band was used to produce an intro theme for the
production which helped to add a more professional product.

4. Final Cut Express
Final Cut Express was a new program for me to experiment with. I soon learned the
basics and began to piece together my film, applying newly learned techniques along
the way. Because of its use, filming became much easier as I could take many shots
and cut and edit them as I wanted, as well as including transition and sound effects
that would have been very difficult to include otherwise.

5. Camera and Tripod
This task allowed me to operate a camera and tripod
for the filming of my project. The tripod was very
important for including a range of shots such as
tracking, without it, the shot would have included a
lot of shake when not intended.

6. Photoshop
Photoshop was used to created and edit images for the opening
sequence, such as my production company logo, without the opening
sequence it would not have contained one of the biggest conventions of an
opening sequence – the opening titles.
