I used a range of hardware and software technologies throughout the planning, construction, and evaluation of my television advertisement, sponsorship sequence, and pop-up. The hardware included an Apple iMac, keyboard, mouse, and a Canon 700D DSLR camera. The software included Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 for constructing video clips, Photoshop for creating layers in my pop-up, and Blogger for tracking my progress and exhibiting my work. These technologies allowed me to bring my ideas to life for my target audience and gain experience working with equipment commonly used in the media industry.

2. I have used a wide range of technology, both
hardware and software throughout the
production of my Television
Advertisement, Sponsorship Sequence &
Pop-up. And the use of these
technologies has made my ideas for my
target audience come to life.

3. Hardware
The hardware I used were all very familiar to me as I
have had previous experience with it before;
therefore, I had an advantage for the construction
of my magazine. I used an Apple iMac, keyboard
and mouse and this allowed me to physically
construct my product.
I found using the iMac beneficial as the screen was
very large allowing me to see the video that I was
producing in a large format, whilst having the
timeline; therefore, I could focus on small detailing
of the video and work on specific layers.

4. I also used a Digital SLR Canon 700D camera for
my filming and photographs, using a SLR
camera allowed my products to appear
professional due to the quality, which
conformed to the conventions of my
advertisement, sponsorship and pop-up. I
found the camera easy to use, due to my
experience with SLR cameras prior the
production.
One of the most beneficial parts of my camera
was the flip out screen, I could help work on
set whilst seeing what was happening on the
camera. However, a problem occurred, as there
was an auto battery saver that switched off the
screen display every now and then.

5. Software
Yet again, I was familiar with the software that I was using due to
my previous experience. The main piece of technology used to
construct my products was Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 this
programme allowed me to construct my video clips exactly how
I visually wanted it to turn out to be. I learnt a lot more skills
using Premiere Pro this time round as I was able to have more
practice. The main thing I learnt was about adjusting a moving
around the different layers so there can be more on the screen
at once. I was able to have control of the placements of
everything and kept my video looking organised. I am glad I
had access to this software as it would usually be used in the
professional media industry when constructing a
advertisements, sponsorships, etc.

6. I used Photoshop for the construction of my pop-
up, I was using many layers, so using Photoshop
made this simpler for me to use as you can lock
and work with a specific layer.
To track my progress and exhibit my work, I used
‘Blogger’, where as previously I used Wordpress. I
preferred using Blogger as it was more basic and I
could clearly present what I needed to. Wordpress
however, had many faults, as it often deleted a lot
of my post last year and didn’t make my final
pieces accessible to view.
