The document discusses technologies used during the production of a film project. In pre-production, a blog was used to document research and planning. Macs were used for most pre-production processes. A Canon DSLR camera was used to film the final product, allowing the filmmaker to learn new skills. iMovie was used for post-production editing, and YouTube was used to upload and share the final film. GarageBand was used to record copyright-free music and podcasts.
1. What have you learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product?
2. Pre-production
One crucial thing I used to begin the process was blogger to
equipment create my blog. And the blog was where I put all
information about my research, my planning and what
steps I would invlude in prodcution. An advantage of this
process is that I was able not only to go back and re-edit
and post but also to leave a trail of work that I could go
back and find and refer to when evaluating in the post
production of the film.
Although, disadvantages were that the blog was available to
the general public so could have been suspectible to abuse.
Also at some times the images were diffocult to work with
and move about as well making blogger difficult to use at
times.
The internet was very useful especially during times when we were planning and
researching for our films and for our target audience. As it was our main form of
information, we found it particularly useful when reseraching the conventions of a
thriller.
I used the macs in every piece of production except for the actual production and
were used in most of the processes. In pre-production by getting familiar with the
computer I was able to use all the programs usefully and effectively and the vast
variety of different programs were very good s I felt I had opinions in what I wanted
to use. Although an issue was how some Mac services were slow and lagged
especially when uploading.

The tripods were very effective and
pratical. It provided a professional shot
on every shot we used and allowed for
succesful panning, tilting and zooming
with out any shaking or wobbling. It also
allowed for shots to be taken at different
heights, allowing for different angles to
be used succesfully and it served it basic

Garageband allowed for recording of podcasts
which were later used as feedback for the work that
we had previously done. More importantly we used
the software to record our copyright-free music.
