Design and Development of Novel Drug Delivery
System (NDDS) has two properties – first it should
deliver the drug in accordance with a predefined rate,
and second it should release therapeutically effective
amount of drug at the site of action.
The main aim of development of noisome is to control
the release of drug in a sustained way modification of
distribution profile of drug, and the targeting of the
drug to the specific body site.

ADVANTAGE
• Increase oral bioavailability.
• High patient compliance.
• Biodegradable & non immunogenic.
• Chemically stable.
• Osmotically active.
• Enhance skin penetration.
• High compatible with biological system.
• Low toxicity because of non-ionic nature.
2. Niosomes represent a promising drug delivery module.
They present a structure similar to liposome and hence
they can represent alternative vesicular systems with
respect to liposomes, due to the niosome ability to
encapsulate different types of drug within their multi
environmental structure. The usefulness of niosomes in
the in the delivery of proteins and biologicals can be
unsubstained with a wide scope in encapsulating toxic
drugs and anti-viral drugs. Noisome thought to be better
candidates of drug delivery due to various factors like cost,
stability, etc.
