  • 6. Spelling rules! <ul><li>1 syllable adjectives ending Consonant+Vowel+Consonant(C+V+C) double the last consonant. EXAMPLE: Fat-Fatter </li></ul><ul><li>Adjectives of 2 syllables ending in-y, remove the –y and add ier. EXAMPLE: Funny Funnier </li></ul><ul><li>Happy Happier </li></ul>
