Reasons for a new trend.
Why use iCeiling’s stretch ceiling
instead of Traditional Gypsum Board?
Summary
Three sections:
• Technical
• Decorative
• Methodology
Technical
iCeiling’s Stretch Ceiling vs Gypsum Board
• No Support Structure required, only perimeter rail vs Complicated structure
• Light weight 180grams/m2 vs 15kg/m2
• Waterproof 100% vs not even close
• Self extinguishing rated Euroclass B-S1-d0 or B-S2-d0 vs Fire rated 2 hrs
• Fungus proof - Bacteria free vs not even close
• Easily cleaned using Windex and a cloth vs Maybe washing, Paint is the best solution
• Environmental friendly - 100% recycled and recycled & recyclable vs Dumped
• Natural Acoustic properties, enhanceable with perforation vs Cold material, requires
perforation with visible holes
• Time saver in installation vs Multiple tasks to achieve
• Clean no painting is required vs have to paint 3 layers
• Easily changeable for decoration vs with painting of ceiling
• Can Handle Weight vs limited, and only if more structure is placed
• Molecular memory returns to initial form vs N/A
• Access to all area above ceiling vs only via access trap
• Can handle shocks without affecting ceiling shape vs Repair & painting required
• Guaranteed sheet color and shape for 10 years vs Not even Close
Disadvantages and solutions: iCeiling vs Painted Gypsum Board
• Tears with sharp edges vs Scratches on wall (repairs and repaint required)
If tear is near edge, we can repair 100%, if in center we can repair with weld
(except for translucent sheets) or replace sheet.
• MEP 2nd fixes (spotlights, and Fire Alarm detectors) need to be fixed vs Fixed
on Gypsum Board
Fixable with tie rods to ceiling slab or to side walls with aluminum or wood
to the level of stretch ceiling opening.
• Possible Micro weld vs definite Shadow effect
Some areas might require a micro-weld depending on rolls color and type
width is 2 to 5mtrs. Unless necessary, our design team will work to
optimize so that a single sheet is placed.
• A single sheet is guaranteed at max 50m2 vs No guarantee at all
More than that we prefer to separate with aluminum rail, even as light as a
PVC, it will have a slack due to its own weight, in wide areas, this bend
could exaggerate; in long corridors we can exceed this limit.

Technical
What are its components?
It is made of the fabric (PVC sheet), the harpoon,
and the aluminum rail
6
Decorative
Advantages:
• Can be manipulated in 2D and 3D
• Beautiful cut and curved edges
• The Sheet follows where the aluminum goes
• A mix of curves and lights can make unlimited shapes
• Laser printing any image
• Multiple array of colors
• Lacquered, Satin, Mat, Translucent & Transparent
• Acoustic effect for reverberation control
Disadvantages:
• Best if placed away from hands reach for sharp edges
• Sheet tends to straighten in center of curve.
iCeiling provides all of the above in 4 main categories
Mat Finish with a Variety of Colors Lacquered Finish with a Variety of Colors
Translucent Sheet Satin Finish with a Variety of Colors

Why iCeiling?
• iCeiling is a local (Qatari) Factory/Workshop of Stretch ceiling
• We guarantee quality:
– We import the fabric (sheet rolls and harpoon) from European
Sellers, it is the basis of our data sheets and our guarantees
• We Engineer in Qatar
• We Fabricate the sheet in Qatar.
• We Fabricate the aluminum rail in Qatar.
• Our installers are in Qatar.
• And our after sale support is in Qatar.
Methodology
• Design and coordination:
• Engineers embed with Contractor.
• Coordinate with influenced activities where, mainly
gypsum walls (and ceiling where applicable), HVAC,
Lighting, Fire protection
• Provide drawings for every ceiling including in-situ
openings and prefabricated opening, curves, corners,
columns traps etc…
• Fabrication:
• Fabrication of Rails after selection of h-shaped, L-shaped
or T-shaped and color mill finish or white.
• Fabrication of Ceiling sheets with rolls available in stock,
and order of required difference.
• You can have your ceilings cut to size, in your store,
waiting for installation before you start MEP!
19
• Installation
• Rails installation team in parallel of MEP works.
• Ceiling installation team once completion of 1st fix.
• Provision of Openings
• Hand-over and training:
• Hand-over of ceiling to client
• Training of complex maintenance team for removal and
installation of sheet.
