Programmer Analyst Consulting … Check Processing Group (CPCS)
Function in role responsible for technical project management as well as development, support and
resolution of issues affecting 12 regional processing centers for check capture; role provides
comprehensive assistance to internal institution customers. Operate on-call and assume responsibility during
weekend hours; provided remote access to mainframe and problem ticket system (Peregrine).
Responsibilities include analysis and resolution of problem tickets, service desk software updates and
message broadcast allocation (addressing incident details and resolutions); also coordinate
documentation for offshore resources (providing ability to submit and maintain CPCS regions for regional
processing centers). Authorized to grant/restrict access to onshore/offshore testers through check processing
regions for 12 sites.
Appointed to enterprise release testing role responsible for contact with applications and end users to
address issues and resolutions; also collaborate with vendors to facilitate software problem resolution and
well as gain insight to feasibility of user requests.
Technical environment includes: OS/2, ZORS, CA VIEW, SAR/ODS, OS/MVS, MICR8000, Lotus Notes,
WAAPASUT, Windows XP, COBOL, Assembler, Easytrieve+, JAVA, ABENDAID, and CPCS 3890 sorters and
7780 sorters (both used for document capture with imaging); sub applications comprise ORBS (Online
Reconcilement and Balancing System), TCM (The Control Machine), Cash Letter Acceptance System (CLAS),
Enhanced System Manager (ESM), CIPS (Conix Integrated Payment System) and EFP.
• Forecasted/logged hours and successfully function within 2% monthly margin of error; demonstrates
ability to forecast and enter projects into production within expected time and budget parameters.

training offshore resources to submit CPCS regions for testing efforts.
• Operated as primary CPCS resource for numerous tasks in merger of Bank One and JPMorganChase;
set up multiple CPCS regions for New York facility and tracked testing requirements and results; integrated
major subsystems including EFP (electronic file transfers with the FED) and SUQ (reporting database fed by
CPCS).

• Trusted for systems knowledge and capabilities and regularly sought to determine feasibility of user
programming requests; requires effective communication with end user (to develop technical
requirements) and systems vendor to ultimately determine feasibility.
• Developed more than 15 CPCS test regions and several CPCS production regions for all sites; region
locations include New York, Louisville, Cleveland, Columbus, Michigan, Chicago, Indianapolis, Houston,
Bedford Texas, Phoenix and Colorado and virtual Columbus location.
• Converted Bedford, Texas and Columbus, Ohio production CPCS regions to CIPS; project comprised
Imaged Enabled Balancing under ORBS in CPCS.
• Contributed to creation and set up of several numerous Image Cash Letters for files sent from CIPS
CPCS function; enabled electronic and data image files transmission to other banks for reconciliation.
• Facilitated merge of several small to large CPCS regional processing centers; project included
shutdown of CPCS regions and jobs of smaller sites as well as processing volume in remaining site.
• Saved organization $4,000 annually through elimination of unneeded programs; ultimately saved on
expense required to maintain reports in SAR/ODS database; improved overall productivity and brought
results before expectations by splitting processing for all 12 countrywide sites into 3 regional processes.
• Collaborate effectively with Carreker (provider of integrated consulting and software solutions) on
problem resolution and development of Super Query product (CPCS mainframe application feeding server
based reporting system, EiStats).
• Spearheaded installation of CPCS ORBS imaging reconcilement product, CIPS; also worked with
imaging functions matching paper documents captured in check processing with images captured with 3890
sorters and 7780 sorters.
• Enabled enterprise groups to eliminate manual processes as new regional processing centers are
brought on-line through development of several programs in Easytreive+; automated process updating
cross reference master files with hundreds of tables (previously requiring update per table).
