Role: Team Lead

Description:
The primary purpose of Project Lightspeed is the delivery of Enhanced Broadband (HSIA), Switched Video Services
(IPTV) and IP-based telephone service (voice over IP aka VOIP) to the consumer segment over FTTP/IP and FTTN.
The guiding principles of Project Lightspeed used to direct the creation of target architecture for the supporting
applications are: decrease the system delivery time, drive significant cost out of the business, enable full-service
capabilities, limit duplication of data, limit application customization and comply with current corporate technology
standards.
3. The BBNMS LS architecture is composed of two tiers, the JBBOS tier and the NetX tier. The JBBOS tier is
responsible for service order and subscription management and orchestrates the service order process across multiple
peer systems to enable Lightspeed transport provisioning to occur. The orchestrated systems include
OMS, RM BIS (SOAC, LFACS), WFM BIS (DISC), NAM BIS (QIP), Granite, and FIRST. The JBBOS tier also
provides raw data to systems such as EDW, WOC, and LMOS. JBBOS also provides web services interfaces to
ISAAC and FIRST.
The NetX tier is responsible to transport activation and layer 2 inventory and interfaces with EMS systems such as
5526AMS, 2Wire CMS, SAM, Entriview, and G2.
JBBOS is built on the BEA WebLogic Server platform. NetX is built on the OSI NetXpert platform. Both tiers allow
