16. Kirklees College
Business Improvement Techniques Level 2
Lean Office
Kirklees College identified the need to implement a new organisation
structure to improve staff utilisation and their performance against key
Learning & Skills (LSC) metrics in 2010.
They operated two teams responsible for managing their contact with
employers (14-19 and 19+) but given historical, geographical and
physical constraints they occupied different offices and operated
different processes.
The college joined together with Business Impact UK Ltd. Kirklees
College’s need was to enable their staff to gain accreditation in NVQ
in Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) and to test the application
