• Sri Aurobindo Ghosh(1872-
1950) was philosopher, poet,
writer, nationalist and highly
spiritual person.
• Incarnation of renaissance.
• He contributed his intellect in
various fields like philosophy,
Indian culture, spirituality and
education.
• He saw education as highly
serious
matter.

4. Sri Aurobindo’s views on Education
• Physical development of a child.
• Rear all the senses of a child.
• Train all mental field or state of a
child.
• Development of moral values .
• All four level of one's conscience.

• “Nothing can be taught”.
• A teacher should be like torch-light.
• Teacher is a „guide , not a „master .‟ ‟
