Education is the process of learning or
getting of knowledge ,Skills,Values and habits of
essential needs of life
Education system is differ from one and
another country,not all countries are following a
common education system
4. HISTORY OF EDUCATION IN BIHAR
• Earlier education system is commenced under the
supervision of gurus
• There is no special class rooms or laboratories are there in
older days the houses of gurus are place to learn and its is
called as VEDHA NILAYAM
• In older days the teachers has to choose the student , to
whom they wants to teach

that a life long benefits will be provided by the student to
his guru
6. THE ANCIENT PERIOD OR THE VEDIC AGE (1500CE)
• The ancient period was the time when great saints where at the
helm of Bihar education.
• Ancient scriptures as Vedas formed the story foundations of
Bihar civilization
• The Vedic age exemplified equality of opportunity freedom of
thought and expression for both males and females.
• The gurukul system of learning had its teaching based on entirely
on the principles of the rig Veda ,since this book explores the
concept of knowledge and basics of human life and living.

EARLY 18TH
.The beginning of modern education started with the
missionaries who migrated to india as the Portuguese begun up
their colonies there.
.The missionaries with a wish to convert the native Indians into
Christianity started with teaching small children along the
Streets.
.As time passed these schools were attached to churches and
missionary offices.
.secondary schools were set up at some places to impart higher
learning.
9. THE BRITISH ERA(1800-1947)
• The British during 1800s were very keen on promotion and
contribution of the Indian education mode .
• In 1800,lordwellesley,the governor general of fort Williams a college
in his area of jurisdiction where training was imparted to civil
servants in vernacular languages.
• In the year 1835,noted historian and politician sir Thomas Babington
Macaulay had been sent to then British india to review the education
system prevalent at that time.

establishment of department of education in different provinces
• The famous Indian university of Calcutta,Bombay,Madras,Punjab and
Allahabad were established in this period.
10. THE MIDDLE AGE-EDUCATION IN MEDIVAL BIHAR (8TH TO 15TH CENTURY)
• It was during the reign of palas when the famous Nalanda university was
brought back to its former splendeor and vikramshila university took birth as
well.
• The earlier brahmanic scripts and languages were slowly replaced by Arabic
and persioan in prominence.
• Primary education was imparted in schools known as maktabs and secondary
and advanced language skills were taught in secondary schools known as
madrasahs.
• Customs ,cultures and tradition of arab and central Asian region mingled with
those of the Indian inhabits over the years.

• Today the basis and structure of learning has changed
significantly, with a few remnants of the British era.
• Technology and globalization have made the world into a small
village because of which india is now among the popular
destinations for students of foreign origin too.
• Both government and private institutions actively participate in
providing education to people of all ages.
• Education today is provided in a holistic manner which involve
equal contribution of academic and extra-curricular activities.

BIHAR
• The National policy of education system was framed in the
year 1986 and it was amended in the year 1992
• The scheme name RASHTRIYA MADYAMIKA ABHIYAN was
established in the year 20009 and the main aim of this
scheme is everyone can able to easy access to secondary
education and to improve the quality of higher education
system
• The new education policy (NEP) is formed in the year 2016
to bring revolutionary changes in Indian education system.
14. ADVANTAGES OF BIHAR EDUCATION SYSTEM
• By comparing with other countries only Bihar every
Student have a basic knowledge about all the subject
• only schools in Bihar follow the regular attendance
method so that student will gain basic knowledge
about their daily habitation and life needs
• students go thought many exams in their learning
years, it teaches them to analyze their own strength
and weakness consistently
15. DRAWBACKS OF BIHAR EDUCATION SYSTEM
• In Indian up to 85% of the students where used to
memorize the content in the books and used to write
the same word in the exam.
• only 18% of the students where used to understand
the concept of the subject and can able to answer in
their own words.
• The syllabus is mostly in the form of theoretical basic,
there is only few subject contains practical contents.

NOT everyone has sufficient need to access the schools

• We use to compare our Bihar with other countries in other
facilities and laws, then why? We are not comparing our
education system with other foreign countries
• Comparing to foreign countries in india we had Dhiru Bahi
Ambani who proved that a common man can became a
billionaire ,Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam who dared to built
missiles for india
• Such people through in small numbers because of these
people lining up in top ranks in education
• But what is my question is , whether they are the products
of our Indian education system?
• No , they are self driven and inspired by themselves,and
reached the high-end in their life.

look forward to good career prospects when they complete

19. GOVERNMENT SCHEME FOR EDUCATION :-
• SHIKSHA SAHAYOG YOJNA:-This scheme provides
scholarships to students whose parents are living below
or marginally above poverty line and who are covered
under JANSHREE BIMA YOJANA.
• SARVE SHIKSHA ABHIYAN (SSA):- Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is
implemented as India's main Programme for
universalizing elementary education. Its overall goals
include universal access and retention, bridging of
gender and social category gaps in education and
enhancement of learning levels of children.
• SAAKSHAR BHARAT:-The main objective of saakshar
bharat is to further promote and strengthen adult
education , specially of women ,by extending
educational options .
20. • KNAYA SAKSHARTHA PROTSAHAN YOJNA:-Objective of
this scheme is to reduce the dropout rate and to
increase the interest of tribal girl student to continue
their study.
• KASTURBA GANDGHI BALIKA VIDHYALAYA YOJNA:- This
program is especially for promoting girls education

25. MY PERCEPTION
• I will never say that Indian educations is a poorest education
system, because I too education by the same Indian
education system
• As a Indian proud to say that Indian has the best teachers in
the world, if we compare our Indian teachers to other
country teachers, they have more responsibility to make the
student as a successful leaners
• My request to students in never memorize the syllabus or
content in the books , Try to be a book with huge content
