covering his face. Daniel approaches

Daniel sits next to the old man and puts his head in his
hands.

Old man continues to read the newspaper

Daniel turns his head slightly

How do you know somethings wrong?
Daniel continues to look at the old man as he rules his
newspaper
Actions speak louder than words
and you always have options
however its best to do something
about it and to fail than to do
nothing and expect it to change
Daniel looks shocked, the old man turns over to the next
page

INT : SCHOOL EARLY AFTERNOON 2:55PM
Daniel and Kyle sitting in class doing work, Kyle looks
up at the clock and notices its 2:55PM and nudges Daniel
who also notices but rather than looking happy like Kyle
he looks back down at his computer.
Bell rings
Kyle and Daniel both get up
Mr Phillips
Daniel! where do you think your
going? you had that lesson off
last week do you think it will do
its self?
Daniel looks exasperated

Sir, ill catch up but i have to go

Mr Phillips looks amused

INT : CAFE LATE AFTERNOON
Daniel rushes in looking around and finally sees
charlotte sitting in the corner looking angry.
Daniel comes over exhausted and sits in front of
Charlotte, She looks away with an almost empty cup of tea
in front of her.
Daniel
Im so sorry i tried to get here
but Mr Phillips held me back and
then i lost track of time and …
Charlotte turns to him looking angry then interrupts him
Charlotte
Why didn't you answer my texts or
calls?
Daniel
I was in class and my phone died

Holds up phone but Charlotte dismisses it

Daniel looks down and puts his head in his hands

Charlotte storms out knocking over her tea Daniel remains
sitting staring at the tea
shot of the tea leaking across the table and flowing onto
the floor slowly

INT : WAITING ROOM NEXT DAY
Daniel sitting nervously fidgeting with the tick tock of
the clock growing louder with each tick. Until an old man
talks with breaks the trans.
Old Man
I knew you'd be here
Daniel
Whats wrong with me, i cant do
anything right
Old man
Your acting so your already making
the right choices, however your in
the wrong place
Daniel
What do you know anyway
Old man
Well I've been through the same
thing so i know how this ends and
it'll work out its all about
attitude. Its down to you and only
you can help your self
Daniel turns to continue talking to the man but theres no
one there
