EXPECTATIONS
For all
YWCA Peer Leaders
PRINT NAME CLEARLY:
1. Be on time and attend at least three (3) scheduled peer activity days per week. Contact the head Program
Coordinator in case of emergency.
a. Two (2) unexcused absence from scheduled peer activity days may results in suspension from
program for at least 1 week. Multiple unexcused absences may result in dismissal from the group.
Individual exceptions will be made in situations such as sickness, family scheduled events, and
emergencies.
b. Any exceptions for absences during summer schedule due to personal reasons the Program
Coordinator must be notified in writing at least 2 weeks in advance.
2. Practice presentation material as a team.
3. Listen when Program Coordinator is explaining presentation ethics and expectations.
4. BE RESPECTFUL to others. Display good sportsmanship at practice and at presentation.
5. Encourage and support ALL teammates.
6. Attitude is everything. If you believe you can achieve something, you’re off to a good start.
7. Learn to accept praise and criticism. If you disagree with a Program Coordinator, ask to talk privately
concerning the matter.
8. School comes first. Take care of grades and relationships with teachers. You may need the support of your
teachers.
9. Cell phones must be turned off or on vibrate during peer activity days and presentations.
10. Be a leader, live by example.
11. Participants must actively participate in items below in order to receive stipend payment. At least:
a. Eight (8) off site presentation.
b. Four (4) on campus presentation
c. Three (3) scheduled peer activity days during one week throughout the summer
12. TAKE THE INITIATIVE to follow up and follow through.
I understand the need to agree to the above items. I realize and agree that if I do not abide by these rules, I may lose the
privilege of attending a scheduled activity, or may be sent home at the discretion of the adult leader. I will be responsible for
all consequences of my behavior.
