6.1 Curriculum, Standards and Bench marks
• Curriculum is derived from a
Latin word “currere” meaning
runway. According to Ralph Tylor
, “ALL LEARNING OF STUDENTS
WHICH IS PLANNED AND
DIRECTED BY THE SCHOOL TO
ATTAIN ITS EDUCATIONAL
GOALS.”
6.1.1 REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS
• REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
• STUDENTS MUST BE CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS
• STUDENTS MUST THINK CRITICALLY AND GAIN KNOWLEDGE
• STUDENTS MUST DRAW CONCLUSIONS , MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS, APPLY
KNOWLEDGE TO NEW SITUATION AND CREATE NEW KNOLEDGE
• STUDENTS MUST BE CAPABABLE OF PARTICIPATING IN GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE
BASED ECONOMY
• PURSUE PERSONAL GROWTH
• SHARE KNOWLEDGE AND PARTICIPATE ETHICALLY AS MEMBERS OF DEMOCRATIC
SOCIETY
• PRACTICE HEALTHY LIVING
