The lesson plan aims to teach students about animal care by having them name an animal's needs, sketch an example of caring for an animal, and express how humans care for pets. Students will learn that animals need food, shelter, water, exercise and clean-up through an imaginative exercise. They will then be evaluated on naming an animal's needs and given a sketching and photography assignment to demonstrate understanding of caring for pets.
