2. My class is made up of 15 tenth grade students
who have expressed interest in sports
medicine/athletic training as a field they may
want to pursue in college.
7 males and 8 females
5 African Americans, 10 Caucasians
2 children are medicated for ADHD
3. My tenth grade students will be introduced to
common ankle injuries using lectured
PowerPoint presentations, a group brochure
activity based on their personal online research
on a assigned specific area of focus on ankle
injuries, listening to a guest speaker who will
demonstrate proper ankle taping technique,
practicing taping ankles, and creating a factual
presentation based on a rubric to present to the
class with 65% accuracy.

Lecture will be outlined but shouldn’t be read word for word
Students will receive a rubric for guidance on what to include in their presentation

Guest speaker- Athletic Trainer that will show technique for ankle taping and hands
on practice.
