2. Problem Statement
• The basic method for learning the Qur'an for traditional
Malays is through the Muqaddam. More recently, learning
basic Qur'an has become easier with the Iqra' method (by
using iqra’ books), which is effective for adults, teenagers and
even children.
• However, a few learners, can’t understand or have limited
understanding because of certain factors including:
- The teachers are very strict in tajwid, so learners will feel that
learning iqra’ is tough for them
- Learn by using iqra’ books is not interactive and become a
boring lesson

• Nowadays, there are a lot of videos and apps to learn iqra’.
• There is assumption that by using technology the lesson will
be more interesting, easy to understand, and they can learn
anytime and anywhere with no limits.
• This study is to find the relationship between reading interest
of iqra’ by using technology support such as video/apps

• To investigate the relationship between level of
reading interest of iqra’ with technology support
among community of Masjid Al-Falah USJ 9
• To examine digital technologies that can support
reading interest in learning iqra’ among
community of Masjid Al-Falah USJ 9
5. Research Questions
1. Is there any significant relationship between
level of reading interest of iqra’ with technology
support among 21st
century learners
2. How does technologies can support literacy in
learning iqra’ for 21st
learners?
6. Hypothesis
H0: There is no significant relationship between
level of reading interest of iqra’ with technology
support among 21st
century learners
H1: There is a significant relationship between
level of reading interest of iqra’ with technology
support among 21st century learners
