❖ Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in
April 1, 1976 develop and sell personal computers
❖ It was incorporated as Apple Computer, Inc in January 1977, & was
renamed as Apple. Inc on Jan 2007.
❖ Its headquartered in Cupertino, California
❖ Apple inc. has 9 products, 7 services, 378 retail store world wide.
❖ Apple tagline - ”Think different”
❖ Revenue – US$215.639 billion (2016)
❖ Total Employees – 115,000 (2016)

Š Steven Paul Jobs-Full name
Š Birth- February 24, 1955
Š Jobs was the chairman, and the chief executive officer (CEO),
Š Also co-founder of Apple Inc, as well as CEO of NeXT & Pixar
Š Jobs and Wozniak are also co-founder Apple in 1976 to sell Wozniak's Apple
I personal computer.
Š May 1985 due to internal fight he was suspended from apple.
Š Same year he founded NeXT computer next year job bought graphic group Pixer.
Š In 1997 he again become CEO of Apple inc
Š Death-on October 5, 2011, due to pancreatic cancer

5. ɯ Apple’s current mission statement is, “Apple designs Macs, the best personal
computers in the world, along with OS X, iLife, iWork and professional
software. Apple leads the digital music revolution with its iPods and iTunes
online store. Apple has reinvented the mobile phone with its revolutionary
iPhone and App store, and is defining the future of mobile media and
computing devices with iPad.”

Λ Apple’s current vision statement was introduced by CEO Tim Cook, who stated,
“We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make great products and
that’s not changing. We are constantly focusing on innovating. We believe in
the simple not the complex. We believe that we need to own and control the

in markets where we can make a significant contribution. We believe in saying

truly important and meaningful to us. We believe in deep collaboration and
cross-pollination of our groups, which allow us to innovate in a way that others
cannot. And frankly, we don’t settle for anything less than excellence in every
group in the company, and we have the self- honesty to admit when we’re
wrong and the courage to change. And I think regardless of who is in what job
those values are so embedded in this company that Apple will do extremely

• Sharing to Other iPhones with AirDrop
• The Siri iPhone app can be used to do many of the things that you would do on
your iPhone by your voice command
• Feel is awesome
• Excellent for media entertainment
• Best gaming experience

12. What are the disadvantages of apple
products?
• Devices are very pricey
• Customer Service
• Not flexible only supports iOS devices
• Not open source
• The main disadvantages of using iOS are costly Apps and no widget support
• You cannot change your ringtone but there are many alternatives to do that
• Apple restricted the connectivity with iTunes
• Applications are very large when compared to other mobile platforms
• Supports only single SIM
• Very addictive, once if you used you can’t switch back to another
• Battery performance is very poor on 3G
• Repair costs are very pricey
