Class Room Process Response of Pupil
Informal Interaction,
The teacher engages in an informal talk with the students so as
to create a good report with them.
Good Morning
How are you ?
Entry Activity
Teacher shows a picture of a painting on the wall of a Warli house
And asks the students to identify the picture and asks certain questions like.
 What are the people represented by these warli paintings doing ?
What is the special about these wall paintings?
Circle represents sun and moon
Triangle stands for mountains and pointer trees
Square indicates a scared enclosure or a piece of land
Look at the paintings once again
Link Talk
The workers importance is linked to the poem. Sufficient information
regarding the poem is made available to the students. Teacher also shows
contain the picture of Carl Sandburg. Sufficient information regarding the author
is made available to the students.
Micro processing of the Input
Model Recitation by the teacher
The students recite the poem individually and silently and they are
asked to mark difficult words.
Glossary Reference
Students are asked to refer the glossary to find out the meaning
of difficult words. Teacher shows slides contain difficult words.
The difficult words are :-
Mass – Working class people [ teacher shows a picture of slide]
Prairie – a wide treeless grassy plain[ Teacher shows a slide]
Collaborative Learning
Students are asked to form groups and share their ideas in groups.
Students are also asked write down the words in the personnel word list.
Mega phoning the doubts
Each group given opportunity raise their doubts to other groups.
Facilitation By the teacher
Teacher helps to clarity the difficult areas which no groups
could effectively tackle. Teacher also explains difficult areas.
Scaffolding Questions
In order to make the content clearer ,scaffolding questions are
asked to the students .The students are asked to write down the answers.
1. Who is the ‘ I ‘ in the poem ?
2. How can ‘ I ‘ be the people ?
Presentation by the pupil
Randomly students are selected from each group and they are
asked to present their answers for the scaffolding questions.
Language Activity
There may be many expressions in your mother tongue to
describe the people what are they ?

  • 3. Class Room Process Response of Pupil Informal Interaction, The teacher engages in an informal talk with the students so as to create a good report with them. Good Morning How are you ? Entry Activity Teacher shows a picture of a painting on the wall of a Warli house And asks the students to identify the picture and asks certain questions like.  What are the people represented by these warli paintings doing ?

Circle represents sun and moon Triangle stands for mountains and pointer trees Square indicates a scared enclosure or a piece of land Look at the paintings once again Link Talk The workers importance is linked to the poem. Sufficient information regarding the poem is made available to the students. Teacher also shows contain the picture of Carl Sandburg. Sufficient information regarding the author is made available to the students.

  • 6. Micro processing of the Input Model Recitation by the teacher The students recite the poem individually and silently and they are asked to mark difficult words. Glossary Reference Students are asked to refer the glossary to find out the meaning of difficult words. Teacher shows slides contain difficult words. The difficult words are :- Mass – Working class people [ teacher shows a picture of slide] Prairie – a wide treeless grassy plain[ Teacher shows a slide] Collaborative Learning Students are asked to form groups and share their ideas in groups. Students are also asked write down the words in the personnel word list. Mega phoning the doubts
  • 7. Each group given opportunity raise their doubts to other groups. Facilitation By the teacher Teacher helps to clarity the difficult areas which no groups could effectively tackle. Teacher also explains difficult areas. Scaffolding Questions In order to make the content clearer ,scaffolding questions are asked to the students .The students are asked to write down the answers. 1. Who is the ‘ I ‘ in the poem ? 2. How can ‘ I ‘ be the people ? Presentation by the pupil Randomly students are selected from each group and they are asked to present their answers for the scaffolding questions. Language Activity There may be many expressions in your mother tongue to describe the people what are they ?
