This project report describes designing a bass/treble separator circuit to separate low and high frequency audio signals and output them to separate lines for a woofer and tweeter. The circuit uses a low-pass filter with 150Ω resistor and 10μF capacitor to output bass frequencies to the woofer, and a high-pass filter with the same components to output treble frequencies to the tweeter. The project was carried out by a student at Indus University for their 4th semester electronics course.

3. Theoretical background:
Woofer:
 Woofer is the term commonly used for a loudspeaker driver designed to produce low frequency sounds, typically from around 40 hertz up to about a kilohertz or higher.  Woofers are generally used to cover the lowest octaves of a loudspeaker's frequency range.
Tweeter:  A tweeter is a special type of loudspeaker that is designed to produce high audio frequencies, typically from around 2,000 Hz to 20,000 Hz (generally considered to be the upper limit of human hearing).  Specialty tweeters can deliver high frequencies up to 100 kHz.

4. Low Pass Filter: A low-pass filter is a filter that passes low-frequency signals and attenuates (reduces the amplitude of) signals with frequencies higher than the cutoff frequency.

5. High Pass Filter:
A high-pass filter (HPF) is an electronic filter that passes high frequency signals but attenuates signals with frequencies lower than the cutoff frequency.
