2. Beginnings
So it happened that I had an offer as a pre-sales
engineer for hotel software. At that time I had
enough hotel experience, since I have been
working as a receptionist for a few years and IT
was just a passion for an unknown field.
This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship
between me and this amazing field.
3. First Step
As a support technician I can say I had both
foots in the IT boat so I’ve learned a lot to have a
strong knowledge foundation.
Being like a real sponge and surrounded by IT
savvy specialists, I’ve absorbed a lot of useful
tips & tricks that I still find helpful even after all
these years of experience in the field.
4. Moving Forward
The next position that I had was as Junior
System Administrator where I was able to extent
my knowledge horizons towards the hardware
part of my passion.
Hands-on experience with installing,
configuring, operating and maintaining servers,
desktops and peripherals gave me a broader
perspective over an IT infrastructure.
5. Cha-cha
The next challenge can be considered by some a
step back since I was a supporter again.
Nevertheless I had the opportunity to work with
and learn new applications and new ways of
doing things even better.
I personally never considered this as a drawback
but more like a cha-cha dance.
6. Life lessons
I always liked to try things that’s why I’ve
created my own company for providing IT
services, it was a dream of mine that I still have.
The lesson here was that if you don’t give 100%
of you to one goal, in time it drifts away slowly
but surely.
Motto: fall down 6 times, got up 7 times even
stronger !
7. Maturity
I can say I’ve reached a decent level of maturity
in the IT field, learned a lot, even more to learn.
There are bad days still my actual score for
getting over them is 100% !
Always moving forward, striving to be better
than yesterday – everyday!
8. Future
I believe the future will bring me more
challenges, more lessons to be learned, more
work satisfaction every time I will manage to “fix”
broken or misconfigured or failed “things”.
Looking forward to meet you my unpredictable
future, hope you are as restless as me.
