A novel low cost integrated on-board charger has minimum number of
switches and only one inductor for all power stages to reduce system
cost.

AC/DC power converter with filter provide an efficient charger which
uses only one power stage as the charger and the DC/DC converter
shares the same inductor.
Controller operation:
3. The purpose of using PI controller is for comparing the reference
torque with actual torque .Filtered inductor current is same with
reference inductor current and output is applied to another
controller.[3]
Conclusions:
An efficient on-board charger with power factor >0.995 and total
harmonic distortion <5% was obtained in this method.
