1. What kind of media institution might
distribute your media product and
why?

2. In order to find a distributer in order to distribute our movie, as a group, we
did researched and I looked into successful Dystopian/Sci-Fi movies and,
who distributed the similar movies within our genre.
We decided to use one of The Big 6 conglomerate distributing companies of
‘20th Century Fox’. This is because we felt as though the company purposely
distributes movies that genuinely appeals to the mass audience, generates
huge sales at the box office/worldwide gross and, we felt as though this
company would be suitable to fund a budget of $156million.
4. I,Robot
I,Robot (released 2004 and directed by Alex
Proyas) is a dystopian/sci-fi genre of movies.
This movie uses star power as a technique to
attract its audience with one of the most
influential actors starring in the movie: Will
Smith. The movie is set in the future with
robots essentially taking over the world. This
movie follows the codes and conventions of
dystopian/sci-fi themed movies which is
beneficial for our movie as this shows that
20th Century Fox has experience within this
genre and, will know how to essentially make
our movie highly successful. The film has gone
on to gross a total of $347.2million on the box
office against a budget of $120million.
