2. There are many institutions that distribute all genres of
films, from thriller to romance to comedy. A media
institution is an established, often-profit based organization,
that deal in the creation and distribution of advertising,
entertainment and information services. A few examples of
some well known institutions are; Walt Disney, Pixar,
Universal Pictures, Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox. All of
these different institutions often are recognised for the films
that they distribute for example Walt Disney are associated
with animated films that are aimed at a very young audience,
however Universal Pictures are more familiarised with action
and thriller films that are aimed at an older audience.

3. The Walt Disney Company, commonly known as Disney, is an American diversified
multinational mass media corporation headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios in
Burbank, California. It is the world's second largest broadcasting and cable company in
terms of revenue, after Comcast. The company is known for producing some of the best
films for children's entertainment such as Mickey Mouse, Snow white and the Seven dwarfs
and frozen. Disney would be interested in distributing films aimed at a young audience
from the ages of 1-10, it would not be recognised for distributing horror and thriller films
containing graphic scenes and violence because that Is not its target audience. Disney is a
institution that would not want to distribute our media product.

4. Universal PicturesUniversal Pictures
Universal Studios Inc. (also known as Universal Pictures), is an American film
studio, owned by Comcast through its wholly owned subsidiary NBC
Universal, and is one of Hollywood's "Big Six" film studios. Its production
studios are at 100 Universal City Plaza Drive in Universal City, California.
Universal was founded in 1912. Universal Pictures have distributed many
successful films such as; Apollo 13, The Strangers, Transformers, Jurassic Park
and The Purge. Universal varies in its genres of films which is ideal because our
genre of our film fits into both Thriller and Murder-Mystery. Therefor
Universal Pictures could be a possible institution that would distribute our
product.
5. 2020thth Century FoxCentury Fox
Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, also known as 20th Century Fox, is
an American film studio, distributor and one of the six major American film
studios. Located in the Century City area of Los Angeles.20th Century Fox has
distributed famous films including X-Men, Die Hard, Taken, Fantastic Four,
Alien, The darkest Hour and Unstoppable. 20th Century is similar to universal
pictures due to the fact they vary the genre of films they distribute. This
institutions produces several films similar to the product that we have
produced such as; What Lies Beneath and Hangman’s Curse, therefor e 20th
century would be the ideal institution to distribute our film.
6. It is difficult to evaluate the amount of institutions involved in the
film industry as there are a large variety of them. Many of the
institutions are recognised for the genre of films they distribute
however others are known for the variety of genres they present. I
personally think that the title sequence we have produced for the
film ‘Case46’ would fit perfectly into the any of the well
familiarised Hollywood production companies. The different
aspects of film production such as mise-en-scene, sound, shooting,
editing and framing all have an impact with the type of film it is
producing therefore the distributer has to consider the techniques
and elements involved in a film. Each successful company will
consider how a film is edited and constructed because that is how
a company will earn money and contain a good reputation known
for there successful and well produced films. The institutions will
show no interest in a film that has a pointless storyline that has no
structured plot, if the film contains only a one camera angle
throughout the entire film they will not take any interest in that
specific film.
7. The title sequence that we have produced is considered
as the genre crime/ murder mystery. From the research
and planning of the different institutions we have
gained information of the different films of many genres
and their distributors. The audience for our film is
aimed at the ages of 15-24 therefore we have to consider
the type of company we are aiming to appeal to, because
if we were aiming at a young audience we would want to
appeal to either Disney or Pixar. The institution
company that is associated with films most similar to
our media product is 20th Century Fox, this is because it
is associated with the audience range of our film, the
quality of films they have distributed and wide variety of
genres they have permitted.
