of a music magazines front cover codes and
conventions. I have also begun my initial
phase of the research for my coursework.

audience appeal and learnt how to apply

September  Today I have completed my WordPress
page and I have also updated my
WordPress blog and chosen an appropriate
feed for it. As well as this I have also posted
a template onto my blog to show me the
best way to complete my blog and get good
marks in my coursework. (15th

example. I learnt how to use Survey
Monkey and completed my Audience
profile for hw. I also learnt about the
medium close up shot and how it was the
best shot to use for a front cover of a

September  Learnt how to use Photoshop
conventions and tools
 Started the creation of my preliminary
task on Photoshop
Monday 29th September  Today I learnt how rasterize an image on
Photoshop. I also added my strapline to the
front cover and edited the text size (2nd

 Today I have edited my masthead name
and edited the prelim front cover to look
more professional
 I have made corrections to my planning and
research tasks to make sure they are a
standard that is ready to upload or be
marked.
Monday 6th
October  Today I have added a main image to my
preliminary front cover and set my self-
targets of what I need to do in order to
complete it by Thursday (6th

 Today I have completed my preliminary
front cover task, bar any corrections sir
feels I need to make. I have also completed
my first blog post, analyzed and decided on

 Begun to create my preliminary task

added the subtitles for each section

November  Today I have made corrections to my
research tasks and analyzed what I need to
improve on my prelim tasks.
 I have also re-done my prelim task contents
page with a new layout so that it looks
more professional and to a higher standard

November  I have begun working on my preliminary
front cover
 I have completed my mast head and social
media conventions for the front cover
 Completed cover lines for my magazine

Monday 24th
November  I have completed all the cover lines on my
front cover for my main task
 I have added my main headline to the cover
and edited the barcode to align the text on
it more efficiently
Monday 1st December  I have completed all of my front cover
conventions and have got everything up to
a good standard
 I need to amend a few corrections on the
page so that it is perfect for example I need
to re position some things such as the
position of the cover lines
 Today I have completed my main task front
cover as I have embedded all the
corrections and improvement Sir said I
could make to it

December  Today I have made start on my main task
contents page
 So fair I have structured the page with the
ruler tool setting out my preferred layout
choice.
 I have also added a web address and page
number in my masthead font style and I
have also added in my signature from my
prelim contents page for the editorial.

 Today I have edited my contents page
background from red to black to keep with
my house style more effectively
 I have also decided to go with an effective
Vibe style layout so that it looks better that
the low quality layout I had previously gone

December  Today I have further edited my contents
page, adding a large piece of brand identity
and began to edit my stories
 I have also planned the layout of where my
picture will go

Monday 5th
January  Today I have finished my main task
contents page after adding a drop capital
to the editorial
 I have also completely finished my
headlines to go on the page
 I now need to place an image onto the
contents page that would be appropriate
for it
 Today I have edited my editorial to make it
more relatable to my magazine
 I have also added in an image which still
needs to be edited in order for it to look
professional
Monday 19th
 This week I have finished my contents
page and begun with my main task DPS
 I have created a drop capital in my DPS
which is in the same font style as my
masthead to create brand identity
 I have also placed the text into the page

and have designed the page layout so I
can base it around the VIBE
Monday 26th
 I have now edited my text so that it
conforms with both the stereotype of
R&B but also so that it is appropriate.
 I have added the title of the article to the
page and am now working on a clever sub
heading to conform to the article itself.
 The layout of the page is now complete
and I have completed all the writing on
the first page. I now need to add the
image and other features of a DPS to the
page.
Monday 2nd
February  I have decided to go with the image that
used for my audience profile as I though it
looked aggressive and conforms well to
the stereotype of an R&B and or HIP-HOP
artist.
 I have imported the image onto the page
 I have also begun editing aspects of the
page to make it look more professional
Monday 9th
 I have continued to edit my DPS to get it
up to a good standard
 I have now finished all of my pages and
handed them into Sir to give me
corrections on them
Monday 16th
 This week I have begun to do the
corrections on my pages in order to bring
them up to the best grade I can possibly
get
 I have finished editing my front cover and
it is ready to upload
 I have finished my Contents page and it is
now ready to upload

 I am beginning to make corrections to my
DPS text in order to make it more
appropriate
 I have finished editing the text area and I
am now changing the image to make it
more effective
Monday 2nd
March  I have now completely finished my all of
my main task pages
 All the corrections have been done and
they are all ready to be uploaded onto the
final page
Monday 9th
 I have begun doing the final tasks in my
planning and research that needed
corrections to them
 I am continuing on with the planning and
research task corrections
Monday 16th
 I have completed all of my planning and
research task corrections and am now
taking the time to upload them onto the
page.
 This week I will focus on uploading the
main pages
 I have now uploaded the main task and
prelim task pages onto the page
