2. Volunteer for classroom activities
3. Stay on task for all individual, partner and
group activities
4. Listen, listen, listen
5. Strive to use Spanish whenever possible
Classroom Participation:
This is essential to mastering any world language. The
following guidelines will help ensure a successful grade.
Each student will need to earn 100 participation points per
nine weeks to make a 100% in this category. This is an oral
test grade and is cumulative. Any points earned over 100
will be extra credit for that grade.
Make-up Work Policy: I adhere to
the NRMPS board policy about make up
work when returning from an excused
absence. It is the student’s responsibility to
check REMIND/Google classroom and to
obtain the make-up work from the binder.
Be
responsible
Tardiness:
Students are
expected to arrive on
time to class. Students
should be in their seats
ready to work when the
tardy bell rings. If a
student is not in the
assigned seat, they will
be marked tardy. The
first tardy is a warning.
The second is also a
warning. The third is a
referral.
7. Be prepared Homework: Students should expect
homework every night, even week-ends.
We have much to learn and a very short
time in which to learn it. It is the
student’s responsibility to know what the
assignment is and to complete it within
the best of his/her ability. NO LATE
WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED after the
assigned date unless the student has an
excused absence. This is a college
preparatory class. We have high
standards and expectations in the
Spanish classes at NNHS.
9. I am trying
something new
this year. Mid
point during
the class we
will have 5
minutes to use
our phones. If
ANYONE uses
a phone
anytime except
during this 5
minutes the
entire class will
lose the
privilege.
