What I Had A Classmate
I had a classmate that I admired she was smarter than the rest of us and would have been
valedictorian had not she met an unusual fate while dating the wrong guy. Love is good to you and
very kind to you. It does not call you names, it does not slap, hit or punch you. Love does not insist
on sleeping with you before marriage and rapes you if you refuse. Love which is G–d is honorable,
compassionate, considerate, protective, and competent. Love won 't give you an experimental drug,
or hang you out of a window that is four stories high, or keep you out late when they know you need
to focus and concentrate in the morning on your job. Ladies when someone does not protect you ...
uses profanity in your presence, calls you bad names, physically fights you and/or puts you in
harm's way ... they are not in love with you! You do not need to love that person either. Anyway, she
never returned to finish her classes. I was afraid that I was going to see her father at the graduation.
Why? Because we had dated many years prior; yes, I was that old ... going back to school. But,
there have been only two men in my life who have basically told me that I was not "good enough"
for them. And that 's right he was a Psychology Grad student and he lied about dating a woman in
Tennessee, which incidentally he was engaged too. He lied about being married, told me he was
divorced. He took me to McDonald's until he found out that I like Benny at the plant where he
worked.

Arguments Against Military Classmates
Classmates
This week controversy is one that I'm very familiar with it, after serving over 21 years as a member
of the Armed Forces and through life experience with the Atlantic Fleet Weapons Training Area in
the island of Vieques in Puerto Rico. Both arguments presented some valid points against and in
favor of the exemption of the military from environmental regulation. The Armed Forces has
millions of acres of land for military operation and training that range from normal operation to
highly destructive maneuver training, which in many instances can create major degradation to the
ecosystem. However, in this case, I support Jamie Clark arguments, because the exemptions that the
Department of Defense is asking will have major repercussions outside the military installations ...

However, these environmental regulations can limit the ability of the Department of Defense to
developed new technology in order to maintain military's superiority and truly impact the space
available for training. Currently, many training areas that used to be open for training are
permanently closed under the ESA for the simplest fact that if used as migration routes for birds and
in other because are habit for a threated specie and this is the case of many training areas at Joint
Base Lewis McChord in Washington State. Nevertheless, a balance has to be found to allow our
forces the maintain a high level of readiness while minimizing the impact to the environment, which
in many cases is almost impossible due to the nature of the training. However, poor planning on
behalf of many states government has caused the encroachment of these training areas by urban
development, which has increase the pressure in the military installation to reduce training and the
increase of environmental

Experts Explore Effects Of Aggression On Classmates
Experts Explore Effects of Aggression on Classmates
Bullies are among the most popular boys in school from the fourth through sixth grade, according to
a recent survey of teachers, classmates and bullies themselves.
The report by Duke University psychologists explores the effect of unchecked bullying of
classmates, which is often undetected or unpunished by school staff, on victims and innocent
bystanders.
Some experts worry that the double whammy of being excluded from the popular crowd and being
bullied by some of its members could lead emotionally disturbed students to retaliate violently.
"Our study looked at elementary kids, but I think that the popular, aggressive kids would have been
the [Columbine] victims. The two shooters would not have been the tough kids. They weren't
popular," said Duke University psychologist Philip Rodkin, lead ... Show more content on

Another concern is whether these children are being passed over for counseling and behavior
programs because their popularity overshadows their negative behavior.
Behavior 'works' for some
Rodkin and other psychologists worry that popular bullies may be less likely to change their
behavior than unpopular bullies because it works so well for them.
"These boys may internalize the idea that aggression, popularity and control naturally go together,
and they may not hesitate to use physical aggression as a social strategy because it has always
worked," Rodkin said. "But there will come a point in these boys' lives when this turns from an
adaptive and fun to a lonely and potentially dangerous characteristic."
Parents may also unwittingly contribute to the problem by accepting or even encouraging aggressive
behavior as long as their children are popular, Fisher said.

Yaidelys Carillo Classmate Interview
My Interview With Yaidelys Carrillo On a breezy night on December 10th in Havana Cuba Yamila
Toress and Raydel Carrillo brought their first child into the world at Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital,
and decided to name her Yaidelys Carrillo. I had the satisfaction of analyzing the past, present and
future of this astonishing classmate. Through our enjoyable interview we were able to learn so much
about each other in a short period of time and realized our similar future goals. I asked particular
questions to produce the best analysis to get insight on Yaidelys past. I will look into her present life
and see how her current goals will lead to her dream career. Ms.Carrillo enjoys to educate her self as
well as educate others, Yaidelys states, " Since I can remember I enjoyed going to school and always
looked up to my educators and now I enjoy educating others on my passion which is art."

Personal Narrative: Professor Hutchings And Classmates
Professor Hutchings and Classmates,
Hello and I hope that everyone is ready to gear up on a new adventure of math. Here I'm again ,
attempting the class again, this time I am only taking one class. I drop the this class before after two
weeks because I found to be overwhelming, due to me working two job and a fulltime student. As
one of my favorite quote, " If you don't like something change it, if you can't change it, change your
attitude ". (Maya Angelou). As you can see, I made the change, drop one job, and here I am again
ready to succeed for excellence. I am the mother of three known as B3, also married to my high
school sweetheart for 21 years and 8 months. B3 are very different children, Brittany 23 working

Reflection Class Reflection
This second reflection period has been different from the first in that the defacto divides among
those in the class have been realigned. Furthermore, this reflection period has enabled many factors
of my classmate's identities to become apparent. While I believe the topics were less controversial
during this period, I believe that the selected readings and a greater degree of variation in my
classmate's opinions made this period much more disputed. Additionally, the topics reviewed have
ushered to the forefront several students who until now had remained in the background. I count
myself among the students who became more comfortable and assured during this reflection period.
By now, I am pretty confident that I have gotten to know my classmates well enough to relatively
understand the components of their identities that impact their perspectives. In the same manner, I
believe that I have been able to participate in these topics more frequently and have thus presented
more of my own identity to my classmates. This change in classroom dynamics and the relevance of
the readings to my own identity has thus impacted my ability to be more substantive – a key goal I
had for this second reflection period. While my classmates have still occasionally questioned the
relevance of my responses to the readings, I am confident that my participation has greatly increased
during this period.
Regarding the Sex Isn't Gender piece, my classmates commented that my response was "very well

Power Of Music
Never Underestimate the Power of Music
Wait, what; no phone, no Instagram, no social media? What teenager wants to attend a class trip
with no access to the social world they have grown dependent on? Each year, the junior class at
Bayside Academy embarks on a trip to Pine Mountain, Kentucky, with one rule rising above all
others; NO cell phones. Once the school year starts, planning begins for the Junior class trip, with
the emphasis of the trip focused on promoting camaraderie and creating a closeness between
classmates. Needless to say, I didn't share excitement in planning the trip, as I detested the thought
of being without my phone for five days. The dreaded day arrived, and my class set off for Pine
Mountain, Kentucky. Once we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Musicians from our grade played the background music of the song, making it even more special to
each of us. After a few days, practicing the class song became a time we all looked forward to,
whereas, in the beginning it was a chore. Each time we sang, the excitement grew in each of us, as
we were determined to be prepared for Christmas Together. Practice after practice, we struggled to
recite each line correctly, concurrently working to harmonize and sway to the tune. The time spent
practicing "Brother" built a strong bond between our class; something I did not notice until the
completion of the trip.
As the trip came to an end, our arrival time approached. Our class decided to sing "Brother" one last
time before leaving Pine Mountain, in appreciation of the place that showed us how much we truly
meant to one another. On the bus ride home, positive comments floated around about how amazing
the trip had been and how enjoyable all the activities were. Everyone came to the conclusion that the
best part of the week was the time spent singing together. After a nine –hour bus ride, we arrived
back at Bayside, just in time for Christmas Together. The time had come to get on stage and share
the story of "Brother" with our school. Immediately after the tremendous performance, applause
filled the building. I felt a sense of joy at the appreciation of our performance, as the song meant so
much to me personally. Shortly after

I take in my surroundings, as I feel my body getting numb from my toes on upward. After floating

only remaining plane carry–on, his baseball glove. He mopes the entire time it takes me to swim
over to them, until he notices me, and he gives one last whimper before wiping his eyes and putting
on a brave facial expression. Jacob smirks, knowing I had already seen CJ previously crying. My

Personal Reflection : The Importance Of Enrolling In College
Entering this course, I was nervous for a couple of reasons. First, I was returning to LSU after
eighteen months of time off and thought I was ill–prepared for the intellectual intensity of an honors
course. Second, I was entering into a realm of academia that has always highly intrigued me, but
that I never felt educated enough on to participate in. Although I still feel like I have a lot of
material to catch up on, the respect, vulnerability, and genuine open–mindedness my classmates
have displayed over the past few weeks has quickly diminished any fears I had regarding this
course. Contrary to my original thought, this course has, up to this point, been the best way for me
to reacclimate to collegiate life. The curriculum for this course is designed to put an emphasis on
listening, analyzing experiences, and responding constructively. The elements of peer review and
analytical reasoning that are built into the class are exactly what I needed coming back to LSU.
Albeit I was worried about my ability to write on the level this course requires; however, the
constructive manner in which we have critiqued our classmates has presented me with the ability to
connect once more (after eighteen months) with my unique style, structure, and logic. Initially, I was
very nervous about enrolling in this course, but now realize that it was one of the best decisions I
could have made this semester.
So far, my classmates have affirmed the things I knew to be strong about my writing and

Classmate Interview Research Paper
The interview that I executed was about a classmate, Laura born in 1970. She, at first, talked about
her family background, then her childhood, and last a fact in history that she will never forget. Laura
is a native of Arizona, she lives in the house that her grandparents bought when they started a family
together. She has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister. During Laura's childhood, her favorite
things to do were going to the race track with her father, and playing in the backyard with her
friends. Her least favorite thing was not having a parent at home, since her mom was working a lot.
The day her mom gave the notice that she was going to work, her little brother said: "Then who will

Sadly, she has dementia, and can't remember who Laura is when she goes to visit her. This is also
heartbreaking, loving someone and not knowing if that person can remember or understands who
you are. I hope Laura will experience her grandma's love again.
Lastly, Laura shared the historical event that she remembers vividly, the 1986, space shuttle
challenger. It was part of a program called TISP (Teacher in Space Project), started by President
Ronald Reagan; schools were interested and made their students watch the launch live on tv. It was
meant to inspire and help children in math and science programs. The shuttle was taking off from
the Kennedy Space Center, in Florida, about 11:40 a.m. on January 28. As Laura states: "We all did
the countdown, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast off!" When the rocket went up in the air, she says, "We all sat
there watching the tv amazed that the rocket was taking off with a high school social studies teacher
on board". "While the radio tower was saying that all was good", Laura narrates, "the shuttle split in
half with an explosion. The radio tower reported a major malfunction, where all the crew was

Reflection Paper
Growing up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, attending Westminster Catawba Christian School as an
adolescent, living in a suburban area with my older sister Reaghan and parents, a portrait of the best
life any child could ask has been painted. My sister and I were spoiled rotten and got pretty much
anything we ever asked for. My life consisted of going to school, participating in fun family nights,
viewing movies, and attending church on Sunday. I'll never forget the delicious soul food Sunday
dinners that followed. Although my house was filled with chaos from Reaghan and I constantly
fighting (now I realize it was all in love of course), the household was always filled with laughter
and love. It wasn't until the fourth grade that my life went through a major change from a great life
to a not–so–great life, which as a youngster was my view of it at the time. Due to a change in the
economy and a drastic budget cut, I was forced to enroll in a public–school system. Transitioning
from a predominantly Caucasian school, being 1 out of the 3 African American kids to attend, to a
predominantly African American school was challenging for me to say the least. I was not
accustomed to being around kids of my color, so I was often bullied for talking "white". In other
words, the classmates thought that I was speaking "proper" or rather using correct grammar. I
remember often going home many times crying because I could not conform or fit in with the new
environment that I feel was

Life Is A Tragic Loss Of A Classmate
No matter how old or young we are, we have all had adversities to face. Whether good or bad, some
are more difficult than others. Mine just so happens to be a tragic loss of a classmate. In 2013,
Dillon Jamal Neal was just starting his junior year of high school. Proudly wearing number fifty–
five on Friday nights, Dillon played defensive end for the Ouachita Parish Lions in what we call,
The Lion's Den. He had such a lighthearted spirit that you cherish knowing someone like him
forever. He was an angel who walked amongst the Earth, that God called home to honor Dillon with
a pair of wings he earned. It has been four years since he left the Earth and there is not a day that
goes by that I do not think back on the crazy conversations we had or all the laughs we shared over
the years. After Dillon passed away, I realized that death does not wait on anyone so you should get
your life right with God while you still can. On November 1, 2013, the day of Friday night football,
Ouachita Parish High School and West Monroe High School went head to head in the biggest
rivalry football game of the season. Everyone is super excited about the game; we could barely
focus on our school work. Finally, game time approached slowly but surely, and the pressure has
increased extremely. The long–awaited matchup was about to play out before the student body's
eyes. Sitting in the stands watching the game with eager, the crowd felt the tension between the
rivals. The football players played

The others in the background appeared engaged in their own excited conversations about "who did
what at the mall". Jim, on the other hand, looked down at his questionnaire and wondered "How
long would this really take?" I looked at him and he signaled me to come to the back seats. Wearily
walking to the back, Jim pulled up the sleeves of his yellow polo shirt and sat down on the chair. It

and soccer, which has been his favorite sport since kindergarten. In his free time, he also prefers to
play racquetball and golf. On being questioned about his hobbies, the athlete replies, "I have 6000
baseball cards." Jim has had the passion for collecting miniatures, baseball cards and autographs
since he was a kid. His favorite baseball player is Barry Bonds of the Giants team. "I'm sort of crazy
so I have 3 posters of him, one of which is life size, in my room, three plaques with cards, and an
autographed ball with his signature". "I also make a good babysitter" he said when we talked about
his jobs; he likes to baby–sit his neighbor, little Sam. The money that he earns from his day to day
job is spent on video games and all kinds of DVDs. As a result, Jim is a good athlete, who is

Descriptive Essay About Friends
"What are friends for?" that phrase keep repeating as my classmates utter these words. I hear it
almost every time, am I happy about it? It just seems like I am 'forced' to do what my classmates
pleased. "What if you do not want to?" that other thought keep repeating as well but sadly no words

What should I do about this? Are they my friends – real friends?

My Journey
The journey of life is not meant to be feared and planned; it's meant to be traveled and enjoyed.
Waking up every morning, I still can't believe it's been almost two years since I moved to America. I
mean it's crazy, one year ago all the street signs are in Chinese and the next thing you know I wake
up in a world of English. I can still remember the day I step off the airplane, it was a day that
changed my life. Some of my friends were amazed by how quickly I adapted to America, but that's
not true. I had a transition year when I was 13. I have to say; I'm feeling very different from two
years ago when I first walk into a world where everyone speaks English. What most of my friends
don't know is that I didn't go to Jericho straightway; I was in Syosset for 8th grade. I remember
walking into the building for the first time. My heart was pounding; I was sweating. I reported to the
administrator, and I was taken to the classroom by the social study teacher (kind of a leading teacher
of the class). I walked through the classroom door, and I sort of had a panic attack when everybody
looked at me. God, I really wish I was dead or something at that moment. I have to say how I landed
in that school was a mystery to solve. In the entire school building including staff members, I'm
probably the only atheist there. Every Wednesday the whole class spends about 3 periods on Mass.

Online Classroom Vs. Traditional Brick And Mortar Classroom
The first distinction between learning in an online classroom versus that of a traditional brick and
mortar classroom is that of time. Students log into their virtual classroom at times of their choosing
to learn and complete assignments. The virtual campus that we use has click functions that are set
up like a regular classroom. These functions mimic interactions between course facilitators and
students in traditional settings. V camp has an announcements section like a bulletin board on a
campus. We receive short notices from the facilitator such as reminders, updates to schedules or
other need to know information that doesn't require an email campaign from the faculty. The attend
section allows you watch your professor or facilitator deliver the lesson in lecture format. This, in
particular, will remind traditional learning students of sitting in a classroom. One thing that is good
about a recorded lecture is you can immediately replay a section that you failed to understand and
gain the knowledge that you require which may have been missed in a regular classroom setting.
The profiles section allows you meet your classmates and see if any live near you to see if you can
study together. The discuss section of the program lets you carry on open dialogue with your
classmates. Each student is required to answer the same question regarding a section of the course in
a certain format and reply to two other classmate's posts. This requirement allows for a dialogue

Speech On Self Evaluation
Speech to Explain: Self Evaluation
For this speech I choose to have my topic be something I have a strong personal connection to
which was Rave culture, its history and practices. Choosing this to be my topic of choice I was able
to be motivated in researching it and I believe my genuine interest in the topic showed in my
presentation. In this self–eval I will be discussing the structure and style along with what I am
taking away from this speech.
First, I will be talking about the structure of my speech. When doing a speech to explain, like any
other speech it's important to have a clear and organized pattern. Essentially when creating my
outline for the speech I had made sure to have a clear and engaging intro and hook, meant to clearly
state my theme and then jump into the topic. Unfortunately when presenting the speech I was unable
to present my introduction as I would have liked and forgot to even mention my theme. I was not
very effective in my introduction but knowing so at my conclusion I was sure to clearly state my
theme. However,I believe my concluding sentence could have been more clear. To improve I should
in the future reinstate my topics and go over key points and leave the audience with psychological
closure rather than abruptly saying "that was all, thank you".
I felt that it would have been beneficial for me to use more visual aids in presenting my topic.
Rather than just talking about my topic and the music, I feel that if I showed some actual footage

Possible Difficulties In College Essay examples
The results of going to college the very first time vary with different people. Some people will be
frightened by the way of life change, and the transition from living with family to being by their
selves. On the other hand some people will be ready to move on, and to proceed with their future,
and will jump at the moment to take another class that will better themselves. College will provide
difficulties around every corner but will also provide the opportunities to go around those
difficulties to succeed.
When in an online college a difficulty may arise where a class will interfere with outside activities
such as work and will usually temporize with their school work. Furthermore a student, with the
change in scenery and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Likewise participating in class after work will lessen the number of hours that will be used for
outside activities with friends and family. This may cause some people to feel overworked and
become frustrated, which may cause the student to loose sight of the overall picture.
On the contrary some people will find college easy due to their ability to adapt to a different
environment. They will rely on friends and fellow schoolmates to push them along until the end. For
instance a student may tell all of his friends about what classes that they are taking, and what
assignments are pressuring them. As a result of this method friends will constantly interact with
them, pressure them into completing the classes on time and completely, and will usually provide an
input of idea's and knowledge in for the assignments. Sometimes in classes there may be an
assignment that will be to difficult to complete based on knowledge, however the ability to go to a
classmate and ask for help, or even call a family member with the knowledge in a certain subject,
will always be an available tool. Similarly online is a great tool, schools will provide a forum or a
chat room to interact with classmates, and will usually provide a section for specific homework in
order for students to post questions, ultimately this will provide the opportunity for the class to input
ideas and see the required steps upon

Why I Am A Interview
a. Before me interview I was excited and a bit nervous. When I walked into that room and all the

We were also really fascinated by conditions of both our patients we interview, and the progress
they've been able to make. Through the feedback I realized that I was able to tap into my strengths
well. I was able to keep the interview flowing smoothly and was genuinely interested in what John

interview sheet I made. I learn that the question I ask on my sheet could have been grouped in a
more logical way. If I could do this again I would also change the questions I asked. Another area
that I found that I could work on was note taking during the interview. I found It hard to write and
give the patient full concentration at the same time. One suggestion I was given was if the patient
shares a lot then I can take quick notes on another sheet of paper and fill in my actual interview
sheet later. Over all I really enjoyed have feed back from my

Online Vs Traditional Classes Essay
Many more people would enjoy school if it was convenient to their time. A great solution to this
problem is online classes. Some wonder if online classes are just as educational as traditional
classes, and if the discussions are as easy to understand without the face to face interaction with the
instructor. In this paper I will be discussing how online classes can be just as educational and are
more convenient to those who have busy schedules. The points of comparison are assignments,
testing and materials, convenience and interaction/discussions. The first thing I compared for online
and traditional classes were the assignments. Assignments for both classes require resource
materials like text books. For traditional class students the assignments are "homework", but online
students do all of their work at home, so it is not necessarily called "homework" for them. Both
classes require a specific turn in date specified by their professor. Traditional classes have more of
an advantage because classmates are able to check each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The interaction and discussion between the two different types of classes is very different.
Traditional classes offer a more face to face social interaction and allow students to meet fellow
classmates easier than those who are taking online classes. The discussions for online classes is
based on comments and emails sent between each other. Those in online classes are barely able to
talk to professors due to slow feedback and they are not able to communicate easily with classmate
unless they reach out through chat rooms or emails. This is difficult because students are unaware of
others schedules and it is harder to reach out because they may be busy at the times you are not. An
advantage of online classes is students are able to learn from professors around the world which
allows them to broaden their perspective and learn from different

for the children. According to Bronfenbrenner's Bioecological Theory of Development, both
genetics, or biological, as well as, the experiences of people, or ecology, influence the cognitive
development (Bronfenbrenner & Morris, 2006). Thus, it is important for us to analyse his issues
from his immediate surroundings or otherwise known as his microsystem. Parents are most
influential in a child's development (Landry, Smith, & Swank, 2006; Soenens et al., 2007), thus the
parenting styles that the parents adopt will have different impact on a their children. Jett was
brought up in an authoritarian environment as his parents have many rules that he needs to follow.
This might be the cause of his defiant and unsociable behaviour in school. Jett might also be using
the aggressive coping behaviours to conceal his low self–esteem (Maughan & Cicchetti, 2002).
Jett's low self–esteem could be attributed to the following reason:
1. He was often compared to his sister who was doing well in school and not able to meet his
parents' expectations despite trying.
2. His parents were unable to supervise and provide the support or communicate with him due to
their work commitment and personal issues (Christenson & Havsy, 2004).

Online Class Vs. Traditional Classes
First, the assignments for both
classes both require resource materials like text books. For traditional class students the assignments
are "homework", but online students do all of their work at ... Show more content on

Traditional classes offer a more face to face social interaction and allow students to meet fellow
classmates easier than those who are taking online classes. The discussion for online classes is based
on comments and emails sent between each other. Those in online classes are barely able to talk to
professors due to slow feedback and they are not able to communicate easily with classmate unless
they reach out through chat rooms or emails. This is difficult because students are unaware of others
schedules and it is harder to reach out because they may be busy at the times you are not. An
advantage of online classes is you are able to learn from professors around the world which allows
you to broaden your perspective and learn from different viewpoints. Overall, the only major
difference between online and traditional classes is the interaction. Traditional classes give more
interaction between your teacher and classmates, compared to online classes. Online classes can be
harder depending on what kind of learner you are, due to the lack of face to face interaction between
the student and professor. Online classes are more convenient to your time and they are just as
educational. Both kinds of classes have tests and assignments just in a different learning

Character Analysis Of Shouto Todoroki My Hero
The character I've chosen is Shouto Todoroki My Hero Academia, which is written by Horikoshi
Kouhei. He's also one of the main protagonists of the story. Todoroki is generally calm, blunt, and
cold. I find it funny how unintelligent he is when it comes to other people's emotions, and even
though he means well sometimes, his words sometimes come off as harsh. He's mainly portrayed as
a calm and collected individual, but Todoroki can get riled up sometimes. Additionally, he's not one
to easily let go of his anger or hatred towards others. Todoroki is 176 cm, or approximately 5'9", as
officially stated in his character profile. He has heterochromia, as his right eye is gray while his left
eye is blue. Furthermore, his hair is also split evenly into different colors, the left half being red and
the right half being white. Todoroki also has a burn scar over his left eye, from when he was
younger and his mother threw boiling water over his face. His heterochromia and hair is a not–so–
subtle hint at his power, which is to burn with his left half, and freeze with his right. However,
Todoroki only uses his ability to freeze ice for the majority of the story, due to his grudge towards
his father. He believes that his father is at fault for his mother being sent to the hospital, and
Todoroki's cold personality stems from his harsh upbringing. In My Hero Academia, a week before
final exams, their teacher reminds them to study for the exams, and some of his classmates admit
that

Personal Narrative: The Word Weird
The word 'weird' to me is how people talk about one another or certain objects as strange or not
fitting the mold that they think or believe to normal. I chose this word because I believe being
known as being weird is a somewhat mean way to say that someone is different from someone else.
There are times where I think the word 'weird' is a completely accurate description of me, but then
there are times it's not even close to describing me. The people who call me 'weird' use it as an insult
and try to put me down. These people forget that being 'normal' is not exactly a good thing either.
The word 'weird' has had a big impact on me in both a positive and negative way. It is positive
because it is saying that I am different from everyone else. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

To some of my classmates, being associated with the word weird is someone to steer clear of or to
avoid. To other classmates, it is something to live by or is a way to live their life. To me, "weird" is
just another word and it means I don't follow the pack of normal millennium teenagers. My parents
have always told me not to follow the crowd, but to make my own way in the world. Just because
others considered me weird, I should not let them dictate what make me happy. I eat the "weird"
foods because I like them. My parents always told me and my sisters to at least try new foods and
not limit ourselves. I have grown up eating new foods on a weekly basis and it's a habit that I hope

Imagine living in a house filled with grasshoppers. Courtney's biggest fear are grasshoppers because
they are creepy and nasty. I interviewed Courtney on August 31st 2016 who is student in my English

interesting things about her family life, school interests, and personal hobbies. The first topic

Bound With Your Classmates
Bounding with classmates can be difficult because of the different experiences we had in life.
Making your classmates like you better can be achieve by helping them. Therefore, this can be used
as a persuasive tool to obtain better results. I have also experienced that, showing respect, is one of
the tools that always helped me achieve this goal: make them like me. Similarities, having things in
common, is a very important aspect. Being part of the same class unifies classmates and, therefore,
this should be the first thing in common we must use to approach our classmates.
Students can persuade teachers using liking by being respectful because, they might have not any
similarities, nothing in common. If a student interrupts, talks in class,

Anna Martinez
I met Anna Martinez for the first time on Wednesday August 17, 2016. Anna is 18 years old, from
Mount Ida, and is excited to be in college. Anna has fun hobbies, a large family, and family oriented
goals.
Anna has a few hobbies she told me about. First Anna loves to drive around listening to music. She
loves all music, and enjoys certain genre's for certain occasions. When she's at the lake, she prefers
to listen to Classic Rock. When she's in the car she prefers Hip Hop or Trap music. Anna's second
hobby is to hang out with her friends, Anna and Lyndsey. Anna and her friends go to the lake, listen
to music together. Anna's friends are each going to different college's and Anna says she'll, "miss
them a lot". Anna's third hobby is working at the Dairyette. The Dairyette is a small dinner type
restaurant in Mount Ida. She works as a cashier, preps food, and makes ice cream. Anna's worked at
the Dairyette for 10 months. Anna is happy spending her time listening to music, hanging with
friends, and working hard.
Anna also told me about her family. Anna is an only child. In her graduating class, at her high
school, Anna was the only graduate without any brothers or sisters. Anna is very close to her step–
father Tim. Anna's mother met Tim when Anna was 14, Anna said "since then, he's been a big part

Short Story: Greetings Classmates
Greetings Classmates,
This was an interesting story. I felt like I was on this high with them. The story seems to be about
the conflict of the young Native Americans place in the world and their ancestry. The character that
I'm drawn to the most is Thomas Builds–the–Fire. Thomas uses his money from the "Washington
Water Power" to have a party that he later ditches because he feels that it is not for him but for his
friends (1/4). This part seems to be a metaphor for alcoholism in the Indian community that is
stereotyped and how the money given still leaves an empty fridge. Thomas is the character that
loves his Spokane roots and this is notable when we gets in Junior's Camaro. They tell him, "You

Graduation Speech : The Collegiate Body, Junior College...
After scanning a handful of personal narratives, my immediate theory was this class was comprised
of a nineteen completely different strangers. It seemed the only common ground for each of us was
English Composition alone. As I proceeded to read, gradually as if almost by magic, classmates
lives evolved into note–taking facts, but with these facts I could start to see the pieces our individual
stories unite together to become a whole. Not all of us were alike, our lives, ages, and locations we
're greatly assorted, but through my research, I stumbled across many subtle similarities. I
discovered that these 19 strangers in my English Composition class had a little more in common
than I originally thought. Since the early 90 's society has changed its view of the collegiate body,

A Letter Of My Friendly Classmates
Responding to the first assignment of English 1190, I wrote a memo of one of my friendly
classmates. I've been lucky enough to be able to know and write about a courageous, friendly
classmate of mine Taylor "Tay" Lambert. Through my interview with Tay, I learned about the life of
a courageous, fun loving and smart women.
Education:–
Tay graduated from Lake View high school in 2014, after four years of schooling. Later on, she
attended Macomb and decided to major in laboring delivery nurse. This is her second year at
Macomb and she plans to transfer to Wayne state university after this year. Not only she wants to
transfer to Wayne State but also she's planning on living in the campus. As a teenager Tay always
knew she wanted to major in nursing, but she never was sure what kind of nursing she wanted to
major in. However after weeks of searching online about the kinds of nursing there are, laboring
delivery nurse got her attention. Tay started searching about this major and she started watching
videos and knowing more and more about this major. Finally, Tay decided that this is what she
wants to do on everyday of her life in the future. Her love to babies and pregnant women also
played a big role on her decision. Away from her interests in nursing Tay always thought that the
idea of taking cooking class to learn how to cook sounds so much fun. On the other hand she always
hated the math classes that she had to take in her high school years and the last year of college.

Julius Caesar Success Essay
Success. It is something that we wish to savor every second of our day, it leaves a tropical taste in
the mouth and a heavy weight gets taken off your shoulders. The path to success is filled with thorns
and holes, obstacles and failure. Be that as it may, it is possible to reach the end as long as you have
a straight goal that will not tumble even if it faces an onslaught of raw feelings. A resolved attitude
and heart is a key component in having a productive partnership and being able to produce results
that can meet one's expectations.
In this particular project, the task given was to re–create in telling one of Shakespeare's popular
plays, "Julius Caesar." A tragedy filled with a twisted love that became muddled, a horrid deception
capable of bringing one to one's knees and doused with the blood of comrades and enemies alike. As

Reflection : The Pantry Project
The pantry project in many ways was an opportunity for outreach on campus. What failed to happen
was that. This project, I admit made me go a little crazy and I almost was prepared to donate money
to the pantry and cop out. But there is so much that I would have done if this pantry project had
gone successfully. There was so much out of our control. First off there is the matter of the class
being very clueless to the process. We as a class didn't know what we were going to do. We did have
some passion for the project. My team I assembled was pretty good. I liked my team but the other
teams in the class, I had major issues with and I will discuss my thoughts on them in a bit. I think
what my team would have done and we would have done amazingly is that we would attempted to
actually find an organization or find people on campus to help the pantry. In retrospect they didn't
need any more help. But let us hypothetically go there. Let us pretend they needed to open the
pantry more or when they did open, they needed us. Well a part of my team would have gone and
helped operations with the people of the pantry. The other part of my team would have wanted to go
out and seek monetary donations for the pantry. We also probably would have gotten Pop Tarts too. I
wanted to be a leader. I wanted to go to friends, family and strangers and gather up money. My rich
boyfriend was prepared to write a check for the pantry. I wanted to at least make sure they had
enough stuff at the pantry. When I learned they had too much, it felt like a slap in the face. That is
out of our control. But I had ideas. My group would have done enough had we been given the
chance. I did not like my classmates conduct at all if I am being completely truthful. They were
immature and did not seem genuinely interesting in attempting this project as a class. I just don't
like these people and if it were not for my friends in the class, I don't know if I would have been
able to compose myself. They did not seem like they were actively participating in the assignments
at hand during this particular project or in general. However, I can't fault them all that much because
the project seemed like a trap from the start. The fact that we did not

Dear Writing Center Staff and classmates, As I sat down to write this letter of introduction, I
realized how difficult it can be to describe oneself to a group of people. I also realized that it is just
one of the many reasons I am so passionate about writing: you can really get a sense of who a
person is through their words. For example, I could write about what it is like to get mistaken for a
13–year–old when I have been 20–years–old for over six months. I could tell you that I say sorry
too much and dread cold weather or that I was born and raised in an obscure small town called

What I Had A Classmate

  • 1. What I Had A Classmate I had a classmate that I admired she was smarter than the rest of us and would have been valedictorian had not she met an unusual fate while dating the wrong guy. Love is good to you and very kind to you. It does not call you names, it does not slap, hit or punch you. Love does not insist on sleeping with you before marriage and rapes you if you refuse. Love which is G–d is honorable, compassionate, considerate, protective, and competent. Love won 't give you an experimental drug, or hang you out of a window that is four stories high, or keep you out late when they know you need to focus and concentrate in the morning on your job. Ladies when someone does not protect you ... uses profanity in your presence, calls you bad names, physically fights you and/or puts you in harm's way ... they are not in love with you! You do not need to love that person either. Anyway, she never returned to finish her classes. I was afraid that I was going to see her father at the graduation. Why? Because we had dated many years prior; yes, I was that old ... going back to school. But, there have been only two men in my life who have basically told me that I was not "good enough" for them. And that 's right he was a Psychology Grad student and he lied about dating a woman in Tennessee, which incidentally he was engaged too. He lied about being married, told me he was divorced. He took me to McDonald's until he found out that I like Benny at the plant where he worked. I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Arguments Against Military Classmates Classmates This week controversy is one that I'm very familiar with it, after serving over 21 years as a member of the Armed Forces and through life experience with the Atlantic Fleet Weapons Training Area in the island of Vieques in Puerto Rico. Both arguments presented some valid points against and in favor of the exemption of the military from environmental regulation. The Armed Forces has millions of acres of land for military operation and training that range from normal operation to highly destructive maneuver training, which in many instances can create major degradation to the ecosystem. However, in this case, I support Jamie Clark arguments, because the exemptions that the Department of Defense is asking will have major repercussions outside the military installations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, these environmental regulations can limit the ability of the Department of Defense to developed new technology in order to maintain military's superiority and truly impact the space available for training. Currently, many training areas that used to be open for training are permanently closed under the ESA for the simplest fact that if used as migration routes for birds and in other because are habit for a threated specie and this is the case of many training areas at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington State. Nevertheless, a balance has to be found to allow our forces the maintain a high level of readiness while minimizing the impact to the environment, which in many cases is almost impossible due to the nature of the training. However, poor planning on behalf of many states government has caused the encroachment of these training areas by urban development, which has increase the pressure in the military installation to reduce training and the increase of environmental ... • 3. Experts Explore Effects Of Aggression On Classmates Experts Explore Effects of Aggression on Classmates Bullies are among the most popular boys in school from the fourth through sixth grade, according to a recent survey of teachers, classmates and bullies themselves. The report by Duke University psychologists explores the effect of unchecked bullying of classmates, which is often undetected or unpunished by school staff, on victims and innocent bystanders. Some experts worry that the double whammy of being excluded from the popular crowd and being bullied by some of its members could lead emotionally disturbed students to retaliate violently. "Our study looked at elementary kids, but I think that the popular, aggressive kids would have been the [Columbine] victims. The two shooters would not have been the tough kids. They weren't popular," said Duke University psychologist Philip Rodkin, lead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another concern is whether these children are being passed over for counseling and behavior programs because their popularity overshadows their negative behavior. Behavior 'works' for some Rodkin and other psychologists worry that popular bullies may be less likely to change their behavior than unpopular bullies because it works so well for them. "These boys may internalize the idea that aggression, popularity and control naturally go together, and they may not hesitate to use physical aggression as a social strategy because it has always worked," Rodkin said. "But there will come a point in these boys' lives when this turns from an adaptive and fun to a lonely and potentially dangerous characteristic." Parents may also unwittingly contribute to the problem by accepting or even encouraging aggressive behavior as long as their children are popular, Fisher said. Sports culture can ... • 4. Yaidelys Carillo Classmate Interview My Interview With Yaidelys Carrillo On a breezy night on December 10th in Havana Cuba Yamila Toress and Raydel Carrillo brought their first child into the world at Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital, and decided to name her Yaidelys Carrillo. I had the satisfaction of analyzing the past, present and future of this astonishing classmate. Through our enjoyable interview we were able to learn so much about each other in a short period of time and realized our similar future goals. I asked particular questions to produce the best analysis to get insight on Yaidelys past. I will look into her present life and see how her current goals will lead to her dream career. Ms.Carrillo enjoys to educate her self as well as educate others, Yaidelys states, " Since I can remember I enjoyed going to school and always looked up to my educators and now I enjoy educating others on my passion which is art." • 6. Reflection Class Reflection This second reflection period has been different from the first in that the defacto divides among those in the class have been realigned. Furthermore, this reflection period has enabled many factors of my classmate's identities to become apparent. While I believe the topics were less controversial during this period, I believe that the selected readings and a greater degree of variation in my classmate's opinions made this period much more disputed. Additionally, the topics reviewed have ushered to the forefront several students who until now had remained in the background. I count myself among the students who became more comfortable and assured during this reflection period. By now, I am pretty confident that I have gotten to know my classmates well enough to relatively understand the components of their identities that impact their perspectives. In the same manner, I believe that I have been able to participate in these topics more frequently and have thus presented more of my own identity to my classmates. This change in classroom dynamics and the relevance of the readings to my own identity has thus impacted my ability to be more substantive – a key goal I had for this second reflection period. While my classmates have still occasionally questioned the relevance of my responses to the readings, I am confident that my participation has greatly increased during this period. Regarding the Sex Isn't Gender piece, my classmates commented that my response was "very well ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Power Of Music Never Underestimate the Power of Music Wait, what; no phone, no Instagram, no social media? What teenager wants to attend a class trip with no access to the social world they have grown dependent on? Each year, the junior class at Bayside Academy embarks on a trip to Pine Mountain, Kentucky, with one rule rising above all others; NO cell phones. Once the school year starts, planning begins for the Junior class trip, with the emphasis of the trip focused on promoting camaraderie and creating a closeness between classmates. Needless to say, I didn't share excitement in planning the trip, as I detested the thought of being without my phone for five days. The dreaded day arrived, and my class set off for Pine Mountain, Kentucky. Once we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Musicians from our grade played the background music of the song, making it even more special to each of us. After a few days, practicing the class song became a time we all looked forward to, whereas, in the beginning it was a chore. Each time we sang, the excitement grew in each of us, as we were determined to be prepared for Christmas Together. Practice after practice, we struggled to recite each line correctly, concurrently working to harmonize and sway to the tune. The time spent practicing "Brother" built a strong bond between our class; something I did not notice until the completion of the trip. As the trip came to an end, our arrival time approached. Our class decided to sing "Brother" one last time before leaving Pine Mountain, in appreciation of the place that showed us how much we truly meant to one another. On the bus ride home, positive comments floated around about how amazing the trip had been and how enjoyable all the activities were. Everyone came to the conclusion that the best part of the week was the time spent singing together. After a nine –hour bus ride, we arrived back at Bayside, just in time for Christmas Together. The time had come to get on stage and share the story of "Brother" with our school. Immediately after the tremendous performance, applause filled the building. • 8. Spinks Alternate Ending I take in my surroundings, as I feel my body getting numb from my toes on upward. After floating for hours, I spot a woodsy island I decide looks about a quarter mile away. I wade over to CJ and Jacob, noticing they are the closest people to where I was at. I watch as CJ pathetically hugs his only remaining plane carry–on, his baseball glove. He mopes the entire time it takes me to swim over to them, until he notices me, and he gives one last whimper before wiping his eyes and putting on a brave facial expression. Jacob smirks, knowing I had already seen CJ previously crying. My first instinct would have been to laugh at him, but now was not the time for that. • 9. Personal Reflection : The Importance Of Enrolling In College Entering this course, I was nervous for a couple of reasons. First, I was returning to LSU after eighteen months of time off and thought I was ill–prepared for the intellectual intensity of an honors course. Second, I was entering into a realm of academia that has always highly intrigued me, but that I never felt educated enough on to participate in. Although I still feel like I have a lot of material to catch up on, the respect, vulnerability, and genuine open–mindedness my classmates have displayed over the past few weeks has quickly diminished any fears I had regarding this course. Contrary to my original thought, this course has, up to this point, been the best way for me to reacclimate to collegiate life. The curriculum for this course is designed to put an emphasis on listening, analyzing experiences, and responding constructively. The elements of peer review and analytical reasoning that are built into the class are exactly what I needed coming back to LSU. Albeit I was worried about my ability to write on the level this course requires; however, the constructive manner in which we have critiqued our classmates has presented me with the ability to connect once more (after eighteen months) with my unique style, structure, and logic. Initially, I was very nervous about enrolling in this course, but now realize that it was one of the best decisions I could have made this semester. • 10. Classmate Interview Research Paper The interview that I executed was about a classmate, Laura born in 1970. She, at first, talked about her family background, then her childhood, and last a fact in history that she will never forget. Laura is a native of Arizona, she lives in the house that her grandparents bought when they started a family together. She has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister. During Laura's childhood, her favorite things to do were going to the race track with her father, and playing in the backyard with her friends. Her least favorite thing was not having a parent at home, since her mom was working a lot. The day her mom gave the notice that she was going to work, her little brother said: "Then who will be our mom?" I thought this was very sad, and made me ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sadly, she has dementia, and can't remember who Laura is when she goes to visit her. This is also heartbreaking, loving someone and not knowing if that person can remember or understands who you are. I hope Laura will experience her grandma's love again. Lastly, Laura shared the historical event that she remembers vividly, the 1986, space shuttle challenger. It was part of a program called TISP (Teacher in Space Project), started by President Ronald Reagan; schools were interested and made their students watch the launch live on tv. It was meant to inspire and help children in math and science programs. The shuttle was taking off from the Kennedy Space Center, in Florida, about 11:40 a.m. on January 28. As Laura states: "We all did the countdown, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast off!" When the rocket went up in the air, she says, "We all sat there watching the tv amazed that the rocket was taking off with a high school social studies teacher on board". "While the radio tower was saying that all was good", Laura narrates, "the shuttle split in half with an explosion. The radio tower reported a major malfunction, where all the crew was ... • 11. Reflection Paper Growing up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, attending Westminster Catawba Christian School as an adolescent, living in a suburban area with my older sister Reaghan and parents, a portrait of the best life any child could ask has been painted. My sister and I were spoiled rotten and got pretty much anything we ever asked for. My life consisted of going to school, participating in fun family nights, viewing movies, and attending church on Sunday. I'll never forget the delicious soul food Sunday dinners that followed. Although my house was filled with chaos from Reaghan and I constantly fighting (now I realize it was all in love of course), the household was always filled with laughter and love. It wasn't until the fourth grade that my life went through a major change from a great life to a not–so–great life, which as a youngster was my view of it at the time. Due to a change in the economy and a drastic budget cut, I was forced to enroll in a public–school system. Transitioning from a predominantly Caucasian school, being 1 out of the 3 African American kids to attend, to a predominantly African American school was challenging for me to say the least. I was not accustomed to being around kids of my color, so I was often bullied for talking "white". In other words, the classmates thought that I was speaking "proper" or rather using correct grammar. • 12. Life Is A Tragic Loss Of A Classmate No matter how old or young we are, we have all had adversities to face. Whether good or bad, some are more difficult than others. Mine just so happens to be a tragic loss of a classmate. In 2013, Dillon Jamal Neal was just starting his junior year of high school. Proudly wearing number fifty– five on Friday nights, Dillon played defensive end for the Ouachita Parish Lions in what we call, The Lion's Den. He had such a lighthearted spirit that you cherish knowing someone like him forever. He was an angel who walked amongst the Earth, that God called home to honor Dillon with a pair of wings he earned. It has been four years since he left the Earth and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think back on the crazy conversations we had or all the laughs we shared over the years. After Dillon passed away, I realized that death does not wait on anyone so you should get your life right with God while you still can. On November 1, 2013, the day of Friday night football, Ouachita Parish High School and West Monroe High School went head to head in the biggest rivalry football game of the season. Everyone is super excited about the game; we could barely focus on our school work. Finally, game time approached slowly but surely, and the pressure has increased extremely. The long–awaited matchup was about to play out before the student body's eyes. Sitting in the stands watching the game with eager, the crowd felt the tension between the rivals. Sitting sideways at her desk, Mrs. Gatewood laughed as she talked to another student. The others in the background appeared engaged in their own excited conversations about "who did what at the mall". Jim, on the other hand, looked down at his questionnaire and wondered "How long would this really take?" I looked at him and he signaled me to come to the back seats. In his free time, he also prefers to play racquetball and golf. On being questioned about his hobbies, the athlete replies, "I have 6000 baseball cards." Jim has had the passion for collecting miniatures, baseball cards and autographs since he was a kid. His favorite baseball player is Barry Bonds of the Giants team. "I'm sort of crazy so I have 3 posters of him, one of which is life size, in my room, three plaques with cards, and an autographed ball with his signature". • 14. Descriptive Essay About Friends "What are friends for?" that phrase keep repeating as my classmates utter these words. I hear it almost every time, am I happy about it? It just seems like I am 'forced' to do what my classmates pleased. "What if you do not want to?" that other thought keep repeating as well but sadly no words can express them. In the end, I pick up the load and do the work. Yes, I am held and tied to the wall. What should I do about this? Are they my friends – real friends? Scenario New school. A classmate of the same age walks up to you and says "Hi! You must be new here. Do not be worried, you will have a great day!" Joy fills your heart. "It will be a great day" you may say. As months go by, you noticed that that friend of yours acts mischievous and odd as if there is something up with that kid. Suddenly, those classmates of yours try getting things to please and satisfy them. They pick on you as if you were so toy that they can throw. Playing with your emotions, as if you feel emotionless. Laugh at you, you are just not smart like them. You want to cry out what your heart desires. As you were about to speak, you suddenly just dust off the idea because no one will hear you. No one would want to listen to your opinion. You can no longer forbear the pain. You helped your friend with all that he or she needs and when you ask for help, they do not even look at you in the eye. • 15. My Journey The journey of life is not meant to be feared and planned; it's meant to be traveled and enjoyed. Waking up every morning, I still can't believe it's been almost two years since I moved to America. I mean it's crazy, one year ago all the street signs are in Chinese and the next thing you know I wake up in a world of English. I can still remember the day I step off the airplane, it was a day that changed my life. Some of my friends were amazed by how quickly I adapted to America, but that's not true. I had a transition year when I was 13. I have to say; I'm feeling very different from two years ago when I first walk into a world where everyone speaks English. What most of my friends don't know is that I didn't go to Jericho straightway; I was in Syosset for 8th grade. I remember walking into the building for the first time. My heart was pounding; I was sweating. I reported to the administrator, and I was taken to the classroom by the social study teacher (kind of a leading teacher of the class). I walked through the classroom door, and I sort of had a panic attack when everybody looked at me. God, I really wish I was dead or something at that moment. I have to say how I landed in that school was a mystery to solve. In the entire school building including staff members, I'm probably the only atheist there. • 16. Online Classroom Vs. Traditional Brick And Mortar Classroom The first distinction between learning in an online classroom versus that of a traditional brick and mortar classroom is that of time. Students log into their virtual classroom at times of their choosing to learn and complete assignments. The virtual campus that we use has click functions that are set up like a regular classroom. These functions mimic interactions between course facilitators and students in traditional settings. V camp has an announcements section like a bulletin board on a campus. We receive short notices from the facilitator such as reminders, updates to schedules or other need to know information that doesn't require an email campaign from the faculty. The attend section allows you watch your professor or facilitator deliver the lesson in lecture format. This, in particular, will remind traditional learning students of sitting in a classroom. One thing that is good about a recorded lecture is you can immediately replay a section that you failed to understand and gain the knowledge that you require which may have been missed in a regular classroom setting. The profiles section allows you meet your classmates and see if any live near you to see if you can study together. The discuss section of the program lets you carry on open dialogue with your classmates. Each student is required to answer the same question regarding a section of the course in a certain format and reply to two other classmate's posts. This requirement allows for a dialogue between ... • 17. Speech On Self Evaluation Speech to Explain: Self Evaluation For this speech I choose to have my topic be something I have a strong personal connection to which was Rave culture, its history and practices. Choosing this to be my topic of choice I was able to be motivated in researching it and I believe my genuine interest in the topic showed in my presentation. In this self–eval I will be discussing the structure and style along with what I am taking away from this speech. First, I will be talking about the structure of my speech. When doing a speech to explain, like any other speech it's important to have a clear and organized pattern. Essentially when creating my outline for the speech I had made sure to have a clear and engaging intro and hook, meant to clearly state my theme and then jump into the topic. Unfortunately when presenting the speech I was unable to present my introduction as I would have liked and forgot to even mention my theme. I was not very effective in my introduction but knowing so at my conclusion I was sure to clearly state my theme. However,I believe my concluding sentence could have been more clear. To improve I should in the future reinstate my topics and go over key points and leave the audience with psychological closure rather than abruptly saying "that was all, thank you". I felt that it would have been beneficial for me to use more visual aids in presenting my topic. Rather than just talking about my topic and the music, I feel that if I showed some actual footage ... Some people will be frightened by the way of life change, and the transition from living with family to being by their selves. On the other hand some people will be ready to move on, and to proceed with their future, and will jump at the moment to take another class that will better themselves. College will provide difficulties around every corner but will also provide the opportunities to go around those difficulties to succeed. Likewise participating in class after work will lessen the number of hours that will be used for outside activities with friends and family. This may cause some people to feel overworked and become frustrated, which may cause the student to loose sight of the overall picture. On the contrary some people will find college easy due to their ability to adapt to a different environment. They will rely on friends and fellow schoolmates to push them along until the end. For instance a student may tell all of his friends about what classes that they are taking, and what assignments are pressuring them. As a result of this method friends will constantly interact with them, pressure them into completing the classes on time and completely, and will usually provide an input of idea's and knowledge in for the assignments. Sometimes in classes there may be an assignment that will be to difficult to complete based on knowledge, however the ability to go to a classmate and ask for help, or even call a family member with the knowledge in a certain subject, will always be an available tool. Similarly online is a great tool, schools will provide a forum or a chat room to interact with classmates, and will usually provide a section for specific homework in order for students to post questions, ultimately this will provide the opportunity for the class to input ideas and see the required steps upon ... Some wonder if online classes are just as educational as traditional classes, and if the discussions are as easy to understand without the face to face interaction with the instructor. In this paper I will be discussing how online classes can be just as educational and are more convenient to those who have busy schedules. The points of comparison are assignments, testing and materials, convenience and interaction/discussions. The first thing I compared for online and traditional classes were the assignments. Assignments for both classes require resource materials like text books. For traditional class students the assignments are "homework", but online students do all of their work at home, so it is not necessarily called "homework" for them. Thus, it is important for us to analyse his issues from his immediate surroundings or otherwise known as his microsystem. Jett might also be using the aggressive coping behaviours to conceal his low self–esteem (Maughan & Cicchetti, 2002). Jett's low self–esteem could be attributed to the following reason: 1. He was often compared to his sister who was doing well in school and not able to meet his parents' expectations despite trying. 2. • 23. Character Analysis Of Shouto Todoroki My Hero The character I've chosen is Shouto Todoroki My Hero Academia, which is written by Horikoshi Kouhei. He's also one of the main protagonists of the story. Todoroki is generally calm, blunt, and cold. I find it funny how unintelligent he is when it comes to other people's emotions, and even though he means well sometimes, his words sometimes come off as harsh. He's mainly portrayed as a calm and collected individual, but Todoroki can get riled up sometimes. Additionally, he's not one to easily let go of his anger or hatred towards others. Todoroki is 176 cm, or approximately 5'9", as officially stated in his character profile. He has heterochromia, as his right eye is gray while his left eye is blue. Furthermore, his hair is also split evenly into different colors, the left half being red and the right half being white. Todoroki also has a burn scar over his left eye, from when he was younger and his mother threw boiling water over his face. His heterochromia and hair is a not–so– subtle hint at his power, which is to burn with his left half, and freeze with his right. However, Todoroki only uses his ability to freeze ice for the majority of the story, due to his grudge towards his father. He believes that his father is at fault for his mother being sent to the hospital, and Todoroki's cold personality stems from his harsh upbringing. There are times where I think the word 'weird' is a completely accurate description of me, but then there are times it's not even close to describing me. The people who call me 'weird' use it as an insult and try to put me down. These people forget that being 'normal' is not exactly a good thing either. The path to success is filled with thorns and holes, obstacles and failure. Be that as it may, it is possible to reach the end as long as you have a straight goal that will not tumble even if it faces an onslaught of raw feelings. A resolved attitude and heart is a key component in having a productive partnership and being able to produce results that can meet one's expectations. In this particular project, the task given was to re–create in telling one of Shakespeare's popular plays, "Julius Caesar." A tragedy filled with a twisted love that became muddled, a horrid deception capable of bringing one to one's knees and doused with the blood of comrades and enemies alike. As a group, we chose to focus on the key turning points in the play, such as, the plotting of Caesar's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So, I would stand beside them and try to chat with them in order to make them feel more comfortable and at ease in the group. I don't mean that they didn't contribute to the project(of course they did!), I only hoped to see them talk and interact more. At times, even I noticed I would stand back while filming the scenes, so I often volunteered to film instead in order to lessen my classmate's burden of carrying the video camera. Which, by the way, she told me she didn't feel comfortable recording most of the time; so, I decided to work diligently even if I was behind the scenes while filming. Anyways, I kept a positive attitude in front of the my group in order to encourage them when we were having a tough week of school. I soon noticed quiet enthusiasm reaching my classmates, bit by bit, they would interact more with us and give great feedback and opinions that always turned out to be highly intellectual and ... • 37. Reflection : The Pantry Project The pantry project in many ways was an opportunity for outreach on campus. What failed to happen was that. This project, I admit made me go a little crazy and I almost was prepared to donate money to the pantry and cop out. But there is so much that I would have done if this pantry project had gone successfully. There was so much out of our control. First off there is the matter of the class being very clueless to the process. We as a class didn't know what we were going to do. We did have some passion for the project. My team I assembled was pretty good. I liked my team but the other teams in the class, I had major issues with and I will discuss my thoughts on them in a bit. I think what my team would have done and we would have done amazingly is that we would attempted to actually find an organization or find people on campus to help the pantry. In retrospect they didn't need any more help. But let us hypothetically go there. Let us pretend they needed to open the pantry more or when they did open, they needed us. Well a part of my team would have gone and helped operations with the people of the pantry. The other part of my team would have wanted to go out and seek monetary donations for the pantry. We also probably would have gotten Pop Tarts too. I wanted to be a leader. I wanted to go to friends, family and strangers and gather up money. My rich boyfriend was prepared to write a check for the pantry. I wanted to at least make sure they had enough stuff at the pantry. When I learned they had too much, it felt like a slap in the face. That is out of our control. But I had ideas. My group would have done enough had we been given the chance. I did not like my classmates conduct at all if I am being completely truthful. They were immature and did not seem genuinely interesting in attempting this project as a class. I just don't like these people and if it were not for my friends in the class, I don't know if I would have been able to compose myself. They did not seem like they were actively participating in the assignments at hand during this particular project or in general. However, I can't fault them all that much because the project seemed like a trap from the start. The fact that we did not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Dear Writing Center Classmates Dear Writing Center Staff and classmates, As I sat down to write this letter of introduction, I realized how difficult it can be to describe oneself to a group of people. I also realized that it is just one of the many reasons I am so passionate about writing: you can really get a sense of who a person is through their words. For example, I could write about what it is like to get mistaken for a 13–year–old when I have been 20–years–old for over six months. I could tell you that I say sorry too much and dread cold weather or that I was born and raised in an obscure small town called Amanda in Ohio. In fact, it is so small that it is officially a village and is not quite big enough to be considered a town. My love of writing started with my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Classmate Interview Research Paper Mary Taylor Mary Taylor Many is as energetic and as hyper in demeanor as a guinea pig, as smart as a poodle, as bold and friendly as a Corgi, as cute as a baby pig, and as unique as an okapi. MT is my nine year old cousin. The Manys live in Kenya, Africa as missionaries. MT has a 13 year old sister named Rees, and her parents, my aunt and uncle, are both doctors. Aunt Gigi, MT's mom, is an OB GYN, and Uncle Heath, her dad, is a surgeon. MT loves the outdoors, is creative, and is very energetic and athletic. Mary Taylor's eyes are a bright blue. She has freckles and dirty blonde hair. If you were to see her every day, you would notice that she always wears a t–shirt and shorts. Dresses are probably her least favorite article of clothing in the world. MT's feet are normally bare. If she does wear shoes, they are normally Keens or sometimes tennis shoes. Mary Taylor has so much energy. She never shows that she's tired, even if she goes to bed at 11:30 and wakes up at 6. MT talks really fast, especially when she's excited. She has to constantly be playing something or talking. Her family is very athletic. When they were in America still, they went caving, camping, and hiking. This past year MT ran cross–country for CAK(her school) and signed up for swim team with Rees. Overall, Mary Taylor is energetic and sporty. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When we get to be with Mary Taylor and Rees, MT can always come up with some sort of game we can play. 99% of the time it has to include pretending to be animals. Some days it's horses, other days it is coyotes, or dogs. Another example of Mary Taylor's creativity is how much she loves coming up with ridiculous character names. Once my cousins and I were playing in my backyard, and Lacie and MT decided to be bobcats. They wanted similar names, so Mary Taylor decided Lacie would be named Billy, and she would be named Goat. Then, MT made up a song about billy goats. Her imagination is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
