Education (PDHPE) is one of six ket learning
areas (KLA) in the NSW primary curriculum
and it is a very important KLA as it
contributes to the total school curriculum.

The syllabus shows the value of the
students well being, their mental and
physical heath, and all social aspects of
growing up.
Its gives a positive look into the knowledge
and understanding of heathy lifestyle and
what we can do to make a better future for
ourselves.

3. Positive Relationships
By interacting in sports and active play,
children develop skills in:
- peer support
- problem solving
- social skills
- communications with others

4. Healthy Lifestyle
PDHPE teaches children the value of their
bodies and how to take care of it. It
shows the students what is good and bad
for the body so when he/she grows up
they know what healthy lifestyle to choose
which will improve the quality of life and
less health problems.

5. Fun, Fun, Fun
The active side of PDHPE can be really
FUN for the children where all kinds of
sports and activities are played. This get
their bodies moving which then releases
endorphins which creates a happier child.
Children are also taught the safety of
their environment and what is right and
wrong to protect themselves from danger.
