Describe your topic of interest and why it is important to you.
My topic of interest, in this case, is to be a sports coach. As a
longtime hockey player, I have the interest to develop and
sharpen the skills of the young stars that are rising in the field
of sports especially the hockey players. I got this interest when
I was once elected as the games captain in my high school and
served as the best captain for two consecutive terms. From the
experience, I had in my school and therefore that is what drives
my ambitions towards being a coach (Baker, & Esherick,
2013).
I today serve as the coach to the most powerful team in the
world, the Titan who have won the world hockey champion for
four hear now. Hockey is a game that does not ease to play
because it uses the hockey stick and its rules are very many than
any other game. Not many people get the interest to know how
to play the game at large. It is a game that is preferred to the
intellect and those who are mathematicians.
Therefore, from the reviewed articles, the education and the
6. sports management journal are widely used to describe the
condition of the sports and the education-related aspect that is
connected to the sporting field. In this case, the articles are
based on the content of the reviewer and the aim of the message
to be passed by the author. I, therefore, concur with the sources
as the peer-viewed sources (Miller, & Nendel, 2011). This is
because they contain the in-depth information that discusses the
related affairs in the well-established and organized way.
To get back to the career goal of becoming a coach. I initially
began having an interest in the position the time I stopped
playing high school hockey. I didn’t realize how much I loved
the sport until I couldn’t play it anymore. It was literally
heartbreaking. I went through months of horrid displeasure of
not being able to play my favourite sport in the world anymore,
but I realized I can create a relationship with hockey forever
through hockey clients. Important factors having to be
accomplished to become a coach are joining the correct
organizations as well as understanding the position well enough
to succeed (Leng, & Hsu, 2015).
What are “keywords” and how do they help with searches?
In this case of study, the keyword that can be used in the
searches is the word sports management that will help in making
the meaning of the topic of discussion as the key topic. From
the ProQuest education journals, the aspect of sports
management is discussed in a various form that helps in
improving the health condition of the persons who practice the
games and take sporting seriously.
On the other hand, the SPORTDiscus as a bibliographic
database covers key regions of games medication and related
fields. Content zones territory from sports physiology and
games brain science to physical instruction and diversion.
SPORTDiscus is perfect for specialists examining health, health
and game analysis (Freeman, 2013).
What are Search Limiters and how would They Help with
7. Searches?
Search limiters enable students to adjust their research so they
are getting the important research that they require for their
papers. It assists with papers in that a student is getting what
they require from tenable sources. I used the accompanying
search limiters. I took a look at Education and Higher Ed
journals and article. This implies I didn't take a look at articles
from other word related parts in accordance with the
examination. In conclusion, I took a look at Ebsco Host
Education Research Complete, Gale Academic One File, and
Pro Quest Education Journals as the databases of the decision. I
currently proceed onward to peer survey articles and how they
are critical to look into (Foster, Greyser, & Walsh, 2006).
What does Peer Reviewed Mean and Why is it Important?
Companion survey articles are ones that have been
acknowledged for use in peer-reviewed journals. They have
been considered fitting as they are dependable. Research that
has these articles have credibility and legitimacy from peers. It
is imperative to use these as a man need reinforcement for their
evidence. By the day's end, it gives a spine to any paper that is
complete. I presently remark on what I gained from a few
resources I used.
What I Learned from Two of the Resources
While doing this paper, I took in a lot from what will, in the
long run, be my exposition. They are as per the following. To
begin with, I learned Ebsco Host is my favoured database of the
decision as it is anything but difficult to explore and to use. The
other thing I learned is that it is hard to use Sage Journals
Online as one needs to make a record just to get the articles and
this was a test of mine (Baker, & Esherick, 2013).
Conclusion
All in all, I found on the establishment of finding an exploration
8. subject and the importance of investigating the library. NCU
was said to give a library and giving a wealth of databases to
students to use. I discussed the examination theme and library
use through the accompanying. To begin with, I discussed my
theme of conspiracy and why it is critical to me. Second, I
discussed catchphrases and how they help with seeks. This
paper tried to illuminate on researching and how NCU gives a
library to students to use available to us.
