2. Song
The song I have chosen for my music video is Arctic Monkeys –
Mardy Bum. This song is about a couple, the boyfriend is
singing about his girlfriend saying that its hard to remember the
good times when she is in a bad mood. I have chosen this song
because you can show the meaning of the songs through
expressions and make the audience relate to the song through
this.
3. Clothing
I will try to stick with the indie rock style. My inspiration has been taken from the lead singer
of Arctic Monkeys, Alex Turner, as this will help the audience relate the video back to arctic
monkeys.
There are some examples of how Alex Turner dresses below.
4. Location
The locations I will use will relate to the lyrics. For examples one of the locations
will be a kitchen due to the lyrics “remember cuddles in the kitchen..” This will
help the audience relate the song lyrics to the video. I will also use a train
station due to the lyrics “I missed the train and then the traffic was a state..”
Another location I will use will be a road as they will walk down, this will relate to
parts of the lyrics where he is trying to remember the good times.
5. Feedback
My feedback has told me that my ideas
are good and that I am relating the
lyrics to the video well which will help
the audience relate to the song. They
like the idea of using inspiration from
Alex Turners clothing so the audience
can relate the video to the band. The
advice I got was that it may be too hard
to get to a house so do it around a
street instead.
