3. • Artistas Café is running an online fundraising campaign event in May.
This is their first event of this kind. Artistas Café needs to develop a
Marketing plan to solicit donations for their non- profit organization.
4. • Fundraising in the Tampa Bay area has been ranked 250th out of 366
metropolitan areas (Tampa Bay Times, March 26, 2011).
• Fundraising has always been a challenge in this area.
• With a sound Marketing plan, Artistas Café can increase their amount
of donations it receives, despite being in an area considered to be
non- giving.
5. • In order to succeed, a marketing plan needs to be in place to help our
goals of raising donations.
• Many tools can be used to help in this purpose.
6. • Facebook is one way to utilize Marketing
• Create an event on your business homepage, then invite all your
friends to join that event.
• Post a short video on your Homepage.
• Get the word out through the business’s twitter account.
• Be sure to update accounts daily and respond to any comments and
questions
7. • Hand out flyers at colleges and universities
• Place flyers in customer bags or on dine- in trays after purchase
• Attend autism walk on April 28th*
* Could have the greatest impact due to the similarity of the causes.
8. • Send out any letters to customers or contacts on your mailing list,
inform and encourage them to pledge their support.
• Short, clear and concise e-mails can be sent out as well.
9. • Event poster hung up at all café locations in plain view
• Use of bag stuffers in all customer orders
• Employees can wear pins/t-shirts advertising event website and date
• Customer receipts can have event website and date on them
• On event day have tables set up in dining areas, with laptops, and ask
customers to donate. Offer to help customers to place donation on
the website. Offer an incentive to any customer that donates that day.
