   Paragraph 1       Introduction (include thesis
                      statement)
   Paragraph 2       Reason 1 + examples/evidence
   Paragraph 3       Reason 2 + examples/evidence
   Paragraph 4       Reason 3 + examples/evidence
   Paragraph 5       Conclusion (restate thesis statement)


   The layout of a persuasive essay is quite similar to an
    expository essay.
Brainstorming
We all have favorite activities that we enjoy.
Think of an activity that you really enjoy.
Write an essay convincing readers to try the
 activity that you really enjoy.

1. Write down your activity.
2. List reasons why you, or others, might
  enjoy this activity.
Introduction
    Have you ever felt bored out of your
mind? Did you ever think about trying to
find a new activity to fill your spare time?
Well, I’ve been in that position too. As a
young, energetic person, I am always
searching for a new way to enjoy my time.
There are many fun activities out there,
but you must try (activity)               .
Paragraph 2
           (activity)          is    (reason 1) .
It should be a priority on your “to do” list. (Write
2-3 sentences about a personal experience
related to reason 1.) Another illustration of this
is (write 2-3 more sentences about a different
experience or fact about reason 1). It’s plain to
see that this activity is sufficient to fill anyone’s
down time.
Paragraph 3
           (activity)         is  (reason 2) .
(Write 2-3 sentences about a personal
experience related to reason 1.) Anyone looking
to enjoy leisure time is obligated to try this
activity. (write 2-3 more sentences about a
different experience or fact about reason 2). I
understand that there are many activities to
involve yourself in, but you should feel
compelled to try      (activity) .
Paragraph 4
You are on your own for paragraph 4. Make
  sure to include:
 Topic sentence with main idea/reason

 2-3 sentences of example/facts

 Transition to second example

 2-3 sentences of 2nd example/facts

 Wrap up sentence
Conclusion
   After providing you with a few reasons,
I know you can see that it’s necessary for
you to try   (activity).

As a young, energetic person, I am always searching for a new way to enjoy my time. There are many fun activities out there, but you must try (activity) .
