Brief History:
• Formed in 1904 in Philadelphia, Pa by two PECO engineers
• Quickly became an industry innovator and leader throughout the early 20th
Century
• Developed the first artificial loads, resistive loads, burden testers and test
switches
• Throughout the mid 20th Century became an industry leader in the meter
shop testing market with our watt-hour accuracy boards and demand boards
including the TESCO 990 which was an industry staple throughout these
years. TESCO was eventually purchased by Advent Design Corporation

• During the early 1990's Advent Design pioneered the development of
innovative statistical testing programs for both electric and gas utilities.
Advent Design has worked with numerous public utility commissions to
help write new meter testing regulations. This broad range of engineering
expertise and background is now being brought to bear on the TESCO
product line of meter test instruments and tools.
• Today TESCO has completely revitalized the product line and we are once
again widely regarded has having the most cost effective and rugged meter
test equipment on the market and are widely known for our ability to provide
customized equipment and software solutions to meet the demands of
today’s ever changing electric utility market.
• TESCO has both a fully equipped meter shop and meter lab to support your
AMI deployments and preparations and can provide support at either our
facility or yours with on site, trained personnel.

processing, retirement meter testing and processing, AMI meter functionality
testing, AMI meter firmware upgrades and AMI meter password updates.
TESCO has also been providing ongoing and onsite support for a series of
AMI deployments for the past seven years and counting. This work typically
starts as working on meter certification, then evolves into functional and
acceptance testing protocols, then issues and RMA processing and tracking
TESCO has warehouse space to accommodate hundreds of thousands of
meters and has space available for immediate expansion if required to suit
your needs.
Our loading dock and meter processing area are large enough to
accommodate several trucks loads of meters per day if necessary.
