A versatile Electrical Engineer with over 38 years experience in the iron & steel industry,

• Involved in a number of high value engineering projects involving international suppliers covering
specification, tender assessment, design audit, expediting, installation & commissioning
• Led continuous improvement projects, improving availability of plant & equipment
• Key role in plant HAZOP and PHR assessments, ALARP and LOPA studies and plant incident
investigation using fault tree analysis
2. • Development of “High Risk Safety Audits” helping to increase safety compliance from 70% to
95% & achieving zero recordable accidents for a 15 month period within the Blast Furnace
Electrical Department
• Involved in the creation of plant procedures and equipment registrar for ATEX and DSEAR
standards. Control of installation, maintenance and record keeping for zoned area equipment
• Completed risk assessments, isolation procedures and method statements for maintenance
and production on site
• Planning daily maintenance & breakdown duties, along with detailed shutdown workloads
