What it takes to become
an athletic trainer.
                                         Colorado Springs.
When trying to become an athletic
trainer most will start early and
study classes in high school such as
anatomy & physiology, health and
medical science, physics, chemistry
as well as biology. In college
athletic training can be classified in
a major as : health and human
performance, sports medicine as
well as sport & exercise science.
While pursuing a career in athletic
training you will have to obtain a
bachelors degree although a
masters could be accepted.
How is math connected to athletic
               training ?
•   Exsercise physiology   • Math can be used to
•   Kinesiology              many things in
•   Exsercise science        athletic training. It
•   Physical education       can be used to know
                             heart rate percentages
                             as age increases,
                             intensity as well as
                             body composition.
Musculoskeletal System
•   The musculoskeletal system is an
    organ system that gives the body
    the ability to move and exercise.
•   Muscle tissue can be damaged by
    the wear and tear of all daily
    activities. It can also be caused by
    any activity that has to do with
    muscle strengthening and
    stretching.
•   The musculoskeletal system is
    composed of cartilage, ligaments,
    and other connective tissue.
Cardiovascular/Circulat
ory System
The cardiovascular system is
composed of the heart, and blood
vessels. The cardiovascular system
is responsible for transporting
oxygen, nutrients, hormones and
cellular waste products throughout
the body. It also provides leverage
and movement, stops minerals &
liquids as well as produces blood
cells.
