2. Since the establishment in 2008, Microbial
Culture Collection Unit (UNiCC) in Universiti
Putra Malaysia (UPM) was actively involved
in organizing different types of public
lectures, seminars and workshops for the
purpose of awareness among the
researchers in UPM and Malaysia.
Introduction
13. The development of UNiCC are referring to:
• BIOTEC Culture Collection, Thailand set-up, and
• WFCC Guidelines for Establishment and Operations of
Collection of Cultures of Microorganisms (3rd Edition,
February 2010).
UNiCC operates according to the documents that we
have developed:
• Procedure of Management of Culture Collection
• Procedure of Supply of Microorganisms
• Several guidelines and forms to fulfill the requirement of
the procedures.
Management of Microbial Cultures
