Looking back at your preliminary
task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it to
the full product?

2. PROFESSIONALISM
 I feel my professionalism when creating my
product and my idea of how to create a
professional looking film has developed. I
have been able to change my camera shots
to highlight certain element on screen so
that the quality of the film is a lot better. The
quality was something that was weaker
within my preliminary task.

3. SETTING
 The use of setting has also become more
important to me as I tried to use the right
setting to improve believability within my
opening sequence whereas my preliminary
task was filmed within college.

4. CAMERAWORK
 However during my preliminary task it
proved my knowledge of the film industry
and helped me to focus on selective shots
to create a professional film sequence such
as a match on action and shot reverse shot.

5. CAMERAWORK
 One of the main techniques I learnt about
was the 180 degree rule which was hard to
understand to begin with however it was
vital that I focus on it as within my opening
sequence, if I had broken the 180 degree
rule the result of my film would have been
totally different.
 Breaking the 180 degree rule is generally
used to show disorientation which is not
something I wanted to show.

6. EDITING
 I also upgraded from using IMovie in my
preliminary task to using Premiere Pro in my
final film. Premiere Pro is a editing software
and proved to be the right software as the
tool available helped the creation process
take place with ease and also helped
improve the quality of my film.

7. COSTUME
 Costume was something that I found was
more important in my final film as it adds to
the authenticity of the film. As the
preliminary task was based around
continuity, this way a key factor to keep in
mind. Although all the films was done on
different day, I had to ensure that all the
actors had the same make- up and
costumes due to continuity reasons.
