This document outlines the shooting plan for a film scene taking place on September 30th, 2017 at Tanika's house from 1-5:30pm. The director, cinematographer, and two actors are listed as attending. Equipment needed includes a Canon camera, lenses, batteries, tripod, and SD card. The scene will be filmed in Tanika's living room and porch, using a variety of shots. After filming, the director felt it went well and the teacher provided positive feedback on the camerawork. Having the equipment pre-set up proved useful for staying on schedule.
5. PLAN FOR DAY OF SHOOTING
■ On this day we will attempt to commence in filming one of the main scenes of our
production. This will take place in Tanika’s house with our protagonist and
antagonist present. During this scene it will only be in the living room and the porch
however just like our other footages we will need to use a range of different shots
to ensure we captivate each and crucial moment to help build the storyline. We
plan to arrive at the location at approximately 1pm. This is the home of our
cinematographer, Tanika Singh therefore she is instructed to have the equipment
set up before we arrive. This just helps us to become more organised and help us
get straight into filming without panicking and struggling to set up any equipment
Futhermore we plan to film the scene whereby our protagonist and antagonist are
sitting together on the sofa, we hope to film a lot of different shot such as medium
shots, shot-reverse-shot, and close ups. All of which will aid us in successfully
conveying the right emotions correlation with our storyline and genre.
6. THE OUTCOME/ AFTER FILMING
■ After filming, as the director I felt as if it went really well as we managed to get
feedback from our teacher where we were praised for our excellent
positioning/camerawork within this scene. Futhermore due to the fact that we
were filming at Tanikas house ( our cinematographer) it meant that she was able
to set up our equipment previously to our arrival at the scene and this made a
massive difference in comparison to our first time filming. Therefore we will
continue to do this as it has proven to be extremely useful in ensuring that we
stay on schedule and make use of all the time that we have.
