Started a new school system to train student to devise solutions to a problem in their school.
She launched a national “ Design for change” (DFC) program
She and her children are involved in DFC
DFC spread to Australia & Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia)
Children at Australia collected non-perishable food and gave to the poor in their communities.

“Walk for Hunger”
3. Walk for Hunger
The campaign aims to raise funds for the
700,000 people who do not have enough to
eat in their homeland .
The team raised US$ 1,650 (S$2,070) ,
which will be enough to get 80 families
groceries for a week through programmes
run by a charity, Project Bread.
4. Example of program
Children aged 5 to 12 participate in a
walk of about 6.4km. In which , many of
them have walked it before the previous
year.
They join without asking for any rewards
5. About the walk
It is a 20-mile walk begins on the Boston
Common, and winds through Boston,
Brookline, Newton, Watertown, and
Cambridge.

6. History of Walk of hunger
Since 1969, The Walk for Hunger has
been a tradition in Massachusetts.
The Walk for Hunger is on the first
Sunday in May every year
