On The Wireless Zone® Day of Giving, stores and staff raised funds, hosted food drives and volunteered to make a positive impact in the communities we serve, sharing the goodwill on social media with #LinkToEndHunger, handling over 16,000 lbs of food (approximately 13,000 meals) for people in need.
The Wireless Zone #LinkToEndHunger Campaign won Silver for Pro Bono Creative in the Connecticut Art Director's Club 41st annual award show and incorporated print and digital design, email campaigns and social media aggregation with #LinkToEndHunger. Mission
Goals and Corresponding Objectives:
1.) Help the surrounding community’s environment - By recycling, CSUF students and faculty help to clear the area of waste and litter, allowing the surrounding community to remain beautiful.
3.) Teach students how to protect their natural resources - When recycling, students learn to respect the environment while also learning the value of reusing non-renewable natural resources to protect the future land.
4.) Keep CSUF’s campus clean - A clean campus environment provides for a better learning experience. Living and working in a dirty environment is unhealthy.
5.) All proceeds will be donated to Local Soup Kitchen in Costa Mesa
Description
CSUF Student Recycle Club(SRC) combines education with hands-on stewardship to make America's communities cleaner, greener, safer, and more livable. The goal of this toolkit is to help you figure out what local and sustainable food is available in your region, what of it your university could be buying, and what’s missing to make this happen.
By the end of using this toolkit, you’ll know a lot more about the agricultural industry of your area– not just how it’s working now, but how it got to where it is, who’s involved in shaping its future, and how your campus can help.

Kids' Food Basket
For one in four Michigan kids, lunch is the last
meal of the day.
There are 30,000 kids in Kent County living
in poverty.
Kids' Food Basket currently works with 27
schools in the area. Eighty percent of the kids in
these schools are sent home each night with a
sack supper.
A sack supper is a 1,000 calorie meal that covers
the five main food groups, they often include
items such as apples and bananas, carrots, peas,
a fresh sandwich and a juice box.
There are many reasons to be involved
with Kids' Food Basket, in fact this year alone
there are 3,700 reasons to get involved.

This month in our ongoing FringeStream series, our monthly magazine exploring how the fringes of culture are shaping mass behaviors, we're digging into the a topic that tempts us all: FOOD. In gaining an understanding of FringeStream Food, we've unearthed some interesting findings that recognize how the simultaneous celebration of food culture and turmoil of traditional food systems have led to mainstream confusion over what to eat. Find out how empowered groups are moving beyond our over reliance on over-processed convenience food to create new opportunities and an increasing Appetite for Conviction.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere, promising self-driving cars, medical breakthroughs, and new ways of working. But how do you separate hype from reality? How can your company apply AI to solve real business problems?
Here’s what AI learnings your business should keep in mind for 2017.
Study: The Future of VR, AR and Self-Driving CarsLinkedIn
We asked LinkedIn members worldwide about their levels of interest in the latest wave of technology: whether they’re using wearables, and whether they intend to buy self-driving cars and VR headsets as they become available. We asked them too about their attitudes to technology and to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the devices that they use. The answers were fascinating – and in many cases, surprising.
This SlideShare explores the full results of this study, including detailed market-by-market breakdowns of intention levels for each technology – and how attitudes change with age, location and seniority level. If you’re marketing a tech brand – or planning to use VR and wearables to reach a professional audience – then these are insights you won’t want to miss.
