Lab Report : Science Or Engineering Course Essay
A full laboratory report is usually required in a science or engineering course that has a laboratory
section. Believe it or not, a lab report (as they are commonly referred to) is actually a learning tool
to help you get more out of your lab and classroom experience. You typically enter a lab session
with some hypothesis, such as "copper conducts heat more quickly than steel." You will review the
basic concepts behind the experiment, such as the definition of conductivity and whether heat flows
from hot to cold. Then, you follow a defined procedure for performing a test to verify whether your
hypothesis is correct or not. A key part of that test is recording data. The data will be analyzed and
used to either support or reject your hypothesis. Usually one to two weeks later, you will submit a
laboratory report summarizing what you did and what you learned.
Before you leave the lab session, remember that it is a good idea to record all the equipment you
used (including manufacturer, model and serial number), make sure you have all the data you need,
take some pictures of your setup (to refer to later, or to include in your report), and make sure you
still have a copy of the procedure you used. Believe it or, if you have gathered all that information
then you have already started on your report.

A Report On A Formal Report
A formal report provides information on a particular problem or subject and gives a recommended
course of action based on that information. Some of the different kinds of reports are feasibility
studies, research reports, position papers and problem reports. Each type of report has its own set of
requirements for effectiveness, but they have a lot of common elements which will be discussed in
this paper.
In addition to the components that make up a report, writing a report requires a technique or process
that ensures the proper research is accomplished and the right data is included. Some people use
checklists while others use a set of questions to ensure all the bases are covered. I will touch on the
procedure for writing a report after the components section.
Components of Formal Reports: Front matter, body and end matter are the major components of
most formal reports. Each major component is made up of several subsections which can be
removed or added as needed.
Front Matter: The front matter precedes the text (Lannon & Guark, 2014 p. 533) or, "body" of the
report, its purpose is to introduce and summarize the report and contains the following elements;
A letter that introduces the report (transmittal letter) to the person or group that asked for it. The
letter may list the reason for the report, point out specific items of interest in the report, describe
problems with the data or thank people that contributed to the research.

The different requirements for an operating segment to be reportable under Paragraph 13 of AASB 8
are,
1) Quantitative Thresholds Tests:
A) Revenue test, wherein the reported revenue including sales to any external customers as well as
inter–segment sales and transfers if 10% or higher of the total operating revenue will be reportable
revenue.
B) Profit or Loss test, wherein the reported profit or loss will be totaled in their respective absolute
amount, if 10% or more of such absolute amount of profit or loss in each activity will be reportable.
C) Asset test, wherein the assets in the operating segments that is 10% or more of the total of all

organization. The report is prepared using a format that is standard and generally accepted.
However, there can be variations in the report; it only depends on the circumstances of the work and

With the two audit reports of 2014, and 2015 we can see that there was communication between
both parties that is the auditors and the accountants of the firm. The ISA was used as a guideline on
how the auditors communicated with the accountants by guiding the auditing team on the specific
items that needed communication with the governance group. This enabled both teams to understand
matters that related to audit and also was a base for a working relationship that was constructive.
The auditors focused on this ISA to ensure that they remained objective, transparent, and
independent as they conducted the audit of the financial statements of the enterprise and also the

The Minority Report by Spielberg is about a one man conspiracy to keep pre crime up and running.
In the book by Dick, there is a larger conspiracy to destroy precrime. The final results are opposite
as well; in the book precrime was maintained and still operational. In the movie, precrime was shut
down and destroyed. The methods of precrime are also different. In the book, there are three precogs
which mutter an indecipherable language, which a machine interprets into images of a murder. Then
a card comes out of the machine with the name of the killer and name of the victim on it. Spielberg
made a more modern method out of this. In the movie, images are taken directly from the three
precogs brain and then interpreted by a person who tries to find out the location of the murder. Also
there are two wooden balls made, one with the name of the killer and the other with the name of the
victim, on them. The movie also goes deeper into the creation of precrime, how crack babies whom
had an odd gift/curse of dreaming of murder became used to prevent murder. It also shows why
Anderton joined precrime, to make sure no one else would suffer like he did when he lost his son.
The precogs in the book and movie are very different. First off their names in the book are Donna,
Jerry and Mike. In the movie their names are Agatha, Arthur and Dashiell. The movie also involves
the precogs, or at least one of them, more into the story.

Satirical news programs serve as important a role in informing the public as professional news
outlets, for even those who check credibility must also be checked, and the platform by which
satirical news is presented, reaches a far more broad portion of individuals.

The 2002 film, Minority Report, seems to contain the aspects of a Kantian approach, but when
analysing the movie in further detail, does it hold its place? The Pre–crime program punishes
individuals for having the intent to murder another, even when the action does not take place. Kant
elaborates his standards pertaining ethics in Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals, where Pre–
crime can be further understood. Minority Report takes place in the year 2054, crime is virtually

Kant's first proposition is an action has moral worth only if it is done out of duty, such as when
someone who has absolutely no interest in donating to the poor does so out of duty. His second
proposition is that action has moral worth not because of its aim, but because of the maxim on

In this paper I will be reviewing the movie Minority Report directed by Steven Spielberg released in
2002. In the entire review of this film, I will be discussing some specific aspects such as few scenes
from the movie, some technical aspects and the intended audience of the film. In addition I will add
my own opinion to all the aspects throughout this paper. Finally I will round off my review by
concluding why this film is worth of watching both for personal entertainment and academic
purpose.

stop these murders before happening and there has not been a single murder in last six years. The

The audit will be conducted on an approximate 4 wards, these wards comprise the individuals most
likely to be 'high risk' and in need of a 'red tray', such wards include:

The analysis of the patients questionnaire may be time consuming, as it's in paper format – meaning
that the questions and respondent data will have to be manually transferred into spreadsheet
software, with each question assigned a column, and row for each person's answer, with each answer
being assigned a 'code'. Once all the data from each questionnaire has been entered in the
spreadsheet; it should be checked for accuracy. The data can then be transferred to a bar chart, to
display the data, for simple analysis.
The ward staff questionnaire (See Appendix D) is quantitative and can be analysed by reading the
questionnaires, putting them into categories and assigning 'codes'. Though, this is a time–consuming
method and highly subjective with the questionnaires having an increased risk of being interpreted
incorrectly.

One major ethical concern is to make sure informed consent is given by the patients to allow for (1)
the conduction of observations on them during mealtimes and (2) their participation in

· The section entitled literature review relies primarily on studies conducted in the last 5 years.
The literature on nursing bedside report is focused in two general areas. The first focus area is the

easy for the viewers to connect to, making it a more interesting film to watch. Another job well done
in the acting aspect of this film is by Samantha Morton who plays the role of Agatha. Morton
successfully helps the viewer connect with her character in an emotional aspect. When watching the
film, it is easy to sense Agatha's vulnerability and take her as an innocent and fearful character, as
she is haunted by the many things she has seen. This characterization of Agatha is easily seen when
Anderton takes her out into public and she clings to him, as if she is a child. The acting of Samantha
Morton helps the viewer sense Agatha's terror and vulnerability throughout the film. The acting of

Minority Report is an oddly misplaced mystery/action movie about a cop who is accused of a future
murder. Set in early 21st century Washington, DC, the police have the ability to stop murders before
they happen with the help of three psychics. They use technology to enhance the visions of these
psychics, referred to as pre–cognitives (or "pre–cogs") to generate not only the name of the victim
and perpetrator, but also the evidence against them: hence the crime of murder is reduced to a black
and white picture. Anytime the Pre–cogs' visions are in conflict a Minority Report is generated, yet
it is also destroyed except for what the pre–cog who predicted it remembers deep within their mind.
John Anderton is the Chief–of–Police of PreCrime, a department of the police that deals with
murder and uses pre–cogs. His son was kidnapped, driving him to PreCrime, and preventing further
