Company's communication needs and budget. Our analysis is shown below for the management's
consideration.
Existing problems
After interviews with staff regarding our daily operations, which mostly involve liaising with
buyers, handling customers' enquiries and following up on orders, the following problems have been
identified:
Twelve new employees have been hired since December, increasing our headcount to twenty–four.
However, only twelve functional laptops and five printers are available now and this slows down the
work procedures of the company. Moreover, staff training is inadequate, especially when we have
installed a new software programme for our inventory management system. The management agreed
in the last meeting to allocate $80,000 for additional equipment and training.
Possible solutions
Purchasing new laptops and printers
Twelve additional laptops are needed for each employee to have an individual laptop for work and at
least seven more printers have to be purchased if every two employees are sharing one printer. The

Draft reports will often be discussed with management to confirm the findings and to establish
management's likely response. |
|Responses are often incorporated into the report. Reports will often be redrafted several times,

Lab Report : Science Or Engineering Course Essay
A full laboratory report is usually required in a science or engineering course that has a laboratory
section. Believe it or not, a lab report (as they are commonly referred to) is actually a learning tool
to help you get more out of your lab and classroom experience. You typically enter a lab session
with some hypothesis, such as "copper conducts heat more quickly than steel." You will review the
basic concepts behind the experiment, such as the definition of conductivity and whether heat flows
from hot to cold. Then, you follow a defined procedure for performing a test to verify whether your
hypothesis is correct or not. A key part of that test is recording data. The data will be analyzed and
used to either support or reject your hypothesis. Usually one to two weeks later, you will submit a
laboratory report summarizing what you did and what you learned.
Before you leave the lab session, remember that it is a good idea to record all the equipment you
used (including manufacturer, model and serial number), make sure you have all the data you need,
take some pictures of your setup (to refer to later, or to include in your report), and make sure you
still have a copy of the procedure you used. Believe it or, if you have gathered all that information
then you have already started on your report.
A full lab report typically has six sections:
Introduction: What is your hypothesis? What is the scope of your report? In short, tell the reader
what you are running tests to

A Report On A Formal Report
A formal report provides information on a particular problem or subject and gives a recommended
course of action based on that information. Some of the different kinds of reports are feasibility
studies, research reports, position papers and problem reports. Each type of report has its own set of
requirements for effectiveness, but they have a lot of common elements which will be discussed in
this paper.
In addition to the components that make up a report, writing a report requires a technique or process
that ensures the proper research is accomplished and the right data is included. Some people use
checklists while others use a set of questions to ensure all the bases are covered. I will touch on the
procedure for writing a report after the components section.
Components of Formal Reports: Front matter, body and end matter are the major components of
most formal reports. Each major component is made up of several subsections which can be
removed or added as needed.
Front Matter: The front matter precedes the text (Lannon & Guark, 2014 p. 533) or, "body" of the
report, its purpose is to introduce and summarize the report and contains the following elements;
A letter that introduces the report (transmittal letter) to the person or group that asked for it. The
letter may list the reason for the report, point out specific items of interest in the report, describe
problems with the data or thank people that contributed to the research.

Interview Report On The Segment Reporting
Executive Summary
This report will provide an overview as to what Segment Reporting is and how is it reported in the
annual reports. This report will also touch basis on issues involved in allowing the management to
measure the different operating segments. A brief discussion on how entity wide disclosures need to
be made for major customers under AASB 8. To get a better understanding on segment reporting,
we have compared the annual reports of Telstra Group and BHP Billiton, to view the different
approaches or similarities in reporting segment information.
In the end we have demonstrated the benefits of segment reporting to the users of General Purpose
Financial Statements (GPFS).
Introduction: Segment Reporting
In the present ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The different requirements for an operating segment to be reportable under Paragraph 13 of AASB 8
are,
1) Quantitative Thresholds Tests:
A) Revenue test, wherein the reported revenue including sales to any external customers as well as
inter–segment sales and transfers if 10% or higher of the total operating revenue will be reportable
revenue.
B) Profit or Loss test, wherein the reported profit or loss will be totaled in their respective absolute
amount, if 10% or more of such absolute amount of profit or loss in each activity will be reportable.
C) Asset test, wherein the assets in the operating segments that is 10% or more of the total of all
combine assets under the operating segments will be reportable (Deegan, 2012).
2) If the total external revenue of all reportable segments is below 75% of the total of all reportable
revenue of the different reportable segments more segments need to be reported until such revenue
is 75% or more unless such condition has already been satisfied (Deegan, 2012).
These tests will define the different reportable operating segments that need to be reported by the
organization in their financial report. The standards under AASB 8, even provides an approach,
where segments that were not reportable and did not qualify the above tests to be reportable
separately. This approach is referred to as the management approach, even any such information
analyzed by the chief operating officer

An Audit Report On An Auditor
Introduction
An audit report is an opinion written by an auditor regarding the financial statements of an
organization. The report is prepared using a format that is standard and generally accepted.
However, there can be variations in the report; it only depends on the circumstances of the work and
the engagement of the auditor (Asare & Wright pg. 198). An auditor 's opinion can either be a clean
opinion, qualified opinion, adverse opinion or a disclaimer opinion. An honest opinion is given if the
financial statements show a fair representation of an organization 's financial position. A qualified
opinion is offered if there were any limiting factors imposed on the work of the auditor. An adverse
opinion is delivered if there was a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the two audit reports of 2014, and 2015 we can see that there was communication between
both parties that is the auditors and the accountants of the firm. The ISA was used as a guideline on
how the auditors communicated with the accountants by guiding the auditing team on the specific
items that needed communication with the governance group. This enabled both teams to understand
matters that related to audit and also was a base for a working relationship that was constructive.
The auditors focused on this ISA to ensure that they remained objective, transparent, and
independent as they conducted the audit of the financial statements of the enterprise and also the
reporting of the audited information (Andon & O'Dwyer, pg. 1400).
The audit reports of 2014 and 2015 use the ISA 570 where the auditor responsibility has to audit the
financial reports about how the management uses the going concern aspect when preparing the
financial statements. Therefore, the going concern assumption allows one to view a company as a
business that will continue with its operations in the future. Additionally, the management prepares
their financial reports using this assumption unless the organization intends to cease its operations or
liquidate their assets (Bhattacharyya, pg 20). Therefore, the auditors in both reports show that the
organization is going to continue with their transactions shortly because the assets together with the

Re: CPA Report
Below I have summarized an explanation to the questions that came about during your examination
of a subsidiary that has been set up as a corporation.
The methodology used to determine deferred taxes.
The deferred taxes reported are a temporary difference. The deferred taxes were calculated based on
what needed to be reported versus what has been posted to the corporations' books. The "temporary
difference is the difference between the tax basis of an asset or liability and its reported (carrying or
book) amount in the financial statements, which will result in taxable amounts or deductible
amounts in future years" (Kieso, el. 2007, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The corporation and stockholders have the tax burden in a corporation. In whole, from the owners'
point of view, it is more sensible to form a corporation that has a little more flexibility and less
liability versus a partnership or sole proprietorship.

P.K. Dick’s The Minority Report and Steven Spielberg’s...
P.K. Dick's The Minority Report and Steven Spielberg's The Minority Report
Death can occur in four ways. A person can die from a physical illness, viruses and infections. A
person can die from an accident. A person can commit suicide. Finally a person can be murdered by
another person. What if murders could be prevented? In P.K. Dick's story The Minority Report, and
in Spielberg's film The Minority Report, the future can be altered by using incredible technology.
The success of Spielberg's adaptation of Dick's short story to film can be determined by the way
each was presented.

supposed to kill a person he never met Leopold ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Minority Report by Spielberg is about a one man conspiracy to keep pre crime up and running.
In the book by Dick, there is a larger conspiracy to destroy precrime. The final results are opposite
as well; in the book precrime was maintained and still operational. In the movie, precrime was shut
down and destroyed. The methods of precrime are also different. In the book, there are three precogs
which mutter an indecipherable language, which a machine interprets into images of a murder. Then
a card comes out of the machine with the name of the killer and name of the victim on it. Spielberg
made a more modern method out of this. In the movie, images are taken directly from the three
precogs brain and then interpreted by a person who tries to find out the location of the murder. Also
there are two wooden balls made, one with the name of the killer and the other with the name of the
victim, on them. The movie also goes deeper into the creation of precrime, how crack babies whom
had an odd gift/curse of dreaming of murder became used to prevent murder. It also shows why
Anderton joined precrime, to make sure no one else would suffer like he did when he lost his son.
The precogs in the book and movie are very different. First off their names in the book are Donna,
Jerry and Mike. In the movie their names are Agatha, Arthur and Dashiell. The movie also involves
the precogs, or at least one of them, more into the story.

Satirical News Report
Satirical news programs serve as important a role in informing the public as professional news
outlets, for even those who check credibility must also be checked, and the platform by which
satirical news is presented, reaches a far more broad portion of individuals.
Professional news stations are susceptible to just as many mistakes as any other station, which must
be exposed and the truth provided. Whether on purpose or an accident, news can be presented from
a great deal of different perspectives, and one story can be construed to the point of vastly different
outcomes. Often this manipulation of truth is repetitive, show after show presenting the same
information misconstrued from the reality. The most common reason ... Show more content on

If there is one thing that limits news networks, and truly any form of presentation, it is viewership.
Constant ads and propaganda can yield returns, but real people caring to watch, is the one thing not
in companies control. There's no doubt that there's a certain group of people who watch the news,
and a group that doesn't. However, Comedians such as Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, or ksdj are in a
position of telling the news, extremely similar to the actual news, but to people who rarely ever

trustworthy information as they can for their viewers. They are educating a whole group of people
who are not willing to find news anywhere else. Without fail week after week, the daily show

and don't like it, then this is your counter program to the news," He provides an alternative, a place
to escape from the corruption that has taken over news. The result is a better educated populace. By
engaging those who care little for politics and finding a way of interpreting what the American
public can't understand, these parody shows are expanding society's knowledge. It's even gotten to

Analysis Of Minority Report
The 2002 film, Minority Report, seems to contain the aspects of a Kantian approach, but when
analysing the movie in further detail, does it hold its place? The Pre–crime program punishes
individuals for having the intent to murder another, even when the action does not take place. Kant
elaborates his standards pertaining ethics in Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals, where Pre–
crime can be further understood. Minority Report takes place in the year 2054, crime is virtually
eradicated from Washington D.C. due to the Precrime crew. The program uses three gifted humans,
known as Pre–Cogs, to see in the future and predict crimes beforehand. John Anderton, the head of
Precrime, believes that the system is flawless, however, the Pre–Cogs ... Show more content on

Kant's first proposition is an action has moral worth only if it is done out of duty, such as when
someone who has absolutely no interest in donating to the poor does so out of duty. His second
proposition is that action has moral worth not because of its aim, but because of the maxim on
which it is based, meaning that it would not matter if the intent failed, as long as the principle was
good. His third proposition is that duty is the necessity of an action from respect for the law, such as
if an individual is in an embarassing spot, they could will the lie, but not will the maxim to lie. Kant
argues that everything is secretly done in self benefit, an example can be an individual helping
another merely for the fulfilled feeling. Comparing Kantian aspects to Minority Report can be done
with ease. Kant's second proposition, that an action has moral worth because of its maxim, can be
further understood in the Pre–crime stance. The Pre–crime organization is in place in order to stop
murders. Individuals, such as Anderton, are sought out to be arrested before they even comprehend
the crime. However, Kant would argue that the arrest is valid due to the fact that they are capable of
such an intention, even if the act was not committed. Emotions are something people tend to little to
no control on, which leads to crime of passion, or the red balls, being produced. These

Minority Report Essay
In this paper I will be reviewing the movie Minority Report directed by Steven Spielberg released in
2002. In the entire review of this film, I will be discussing some specific aspects such as few scenes
from the movie, some technical aspects and the intended audience of the film. In addition I will add
my own opinion to all the aspects throughout this paper. Finally I will round off my review by
concluding why this film is worth of watching both for personal entertainment and academic
purpose.
In this film Tom Cruise plays the role of protagonist as Chief John Anderton. The role of antagonist
is played by Max von Sydow as Director Lamar and Colin Farrell as Danny Witwer. Besides, one of
the vital roles is played by Samantha Morton as Agatha. This movie takes place during the year of
2054 in Washington, D.C. Tom Cruise as John Anderton is an officer working for an organization
called Pre–Crime. In Pre–Crime there are three twins called as Precog who have the ability to
visualize murder in the near future. In the Pre–Crime there is a red ball which shows the name of the
future murderer when the Precogs predict any murder. The task of John Anderton and his squad is to
stop these murders before happening and there has not been a single murder in last six years. The
main twist of the plot occurs when the Precog premeditates that John Anderton himself will be a
murderer. John Anderton has no clue about the person he is going to murder and he flees away not to

The audit will be conducted on an approximate 4 wards, these wards comprise the individuals most
likely to be 'high risk' and in need of a 'red tray', such wards include:
1. Stroke ward
2. Elderly ward
3. Rehabilitation ward
4. Paediatric ward
The data for the audit will be collected from patients and ward/nursing staff in these wards. The data
will be collected from 95% of the patients in each ward and 95% of ward staff in each ward. The
data will be collected via 3 different sources:
1. 95% of the patients in the 4 selected wards will be distributed a qualitative questionnaire to

However, the audit tools are reliable and can be easily repeated by others.
The observations of mealtimes (See appendix E) will be analysed by distributing the collected data
on a bar chart; where the data can be interpreted more efficiently by displaying the total numbers of
patients who require assistance, receive assistance and receive red trays across all the observations
for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The analysis of the patients questionnaire may be time consuming, as it's in paper format – meaning
that the questions and respondent data will have to be manually transferred into spreadsheet
software, with each question assigned a column, and row for each person's answer, with each answer
being assigned a 'code'. Once all the data from each questionnaire has been entered in the
spreadsheet; it should be checked for accuracy. The data can then be transferred to a bar chart, to
display the data, for simple analysis.
The ward staff questionnaire (See Appendix D) is quantitative and can be analysed by reading the
questionnaires, putting them into categories and assigning 'codes'. Though, this is a time–consuming
method and highly subjective with the questionnaires having an increased risk of being interpreted
incorrectly.
Ethics & Confidentiality
One major ethical concern is to make sure informed consent is given by the patients to allow for (1)
the conduction of observations on them during mealtimes and (2) their participation in
questionnaires. Patients

The Publication of Financial Reports
Over the years, annual reporting has undergone drastic changes. It is becoming increasingly
important as the readers are not limited only within certain geographical boundary but expanding
internationally. With globalization, public listed companies must ensure more transparency and
more accurate information. This has led to publication of their reports on their websites making
people all over the world easy access to their performance. Today not only financial reporting are
becoming important part, but a company has to include non–financial reports as well. Yet, needless
to say, interest for most stakeholders in the annual reports have always remained the financial
section of the reports. Hence need for more comprehensive reporting arises. Birth of financial
reporting took place when many people started contributing small amounts of their money towards a
common stock to achieve a common goal. Thus, financial reporting is a sensitive report that can
drive the image on success of a business. It displays soundness of their business in globally
competitive business world. Thereby, determining the choice of investors to invest their capital in
various companies. Financial reports are either guided by the rules and principles of US GAAP or
by the accounting standards of IFRS. IFRS being more flexible comparing to US GAAP, is seen to
be increasing in its popularity as accounting standards adopted by businesses. Nevertheless, their
underlying assumptions have been the same. And

1. What does 'assurance' mean in the financial reporting context? Who are the three parties relevant
to an assurance engagement?
An assurance engagement (or service) is defined as 'an engagement in which an assurance

Finally, the auditors will benefit from additional revenue which can be used to subsidise the audit
firm's investments in knowledge and systems, and streamline the audit.
The main disadvantages of audit firms providing services to their audit clients relate to potential
adverse effects on the auditor's independence. The auditor could be unwilling to provide services
which would reduce their audit fees or cause the client to seek another auditor. The auditor could be
unwilling to criticise something to the client which was provided by their consulting division. The
auditor could be 'blind' to potential adverse impacts on the client's accounting systems from products
and services provided by their consulting division. Even if the consulting provided unquestionable
benefits to the client, the relationship between the audit firm and the client could become 'too cosy',
and discourage the client from considering other auditors. Finally, the auditor could be reluctant to
qualify the audit report for fear of losing lucrative fees from consulting services. If this occurs, the
audit is less valuable because the auditor is less independent.
4. An assurance engagement involves evaluation or measurement of subject matter against criteria.
What criteria are used in a financial report audit?

Literature Review On Nursing Bedside Report
· The section entitled literature review relies primarily on studies conducted in the last 5 years.
The literature on nursing bedside report is focused in two general areas. The first focus area is the
process of implementing bedside report, either describing the experiences related to implementation
or explaining how other organizations could implement this change. The second area of focus is
improving the process of bedside report, often through observation and identifying common themes,
or by describing how others may improve their own reporting process.
· The theoretical or conceptual framework is described.
The conceptual framework was the interviews of the patients on their stay in the hospital. The
patient survey had 17 items dealing with the following nurse behaviors treating the patient kindly
and with respect, listening to the patient, informing the patient about their care, teaching so that the
patient could understand, working with other nurses, passing along information from shift to shift,
including the patient in report discussions and keeping the patient's health information private
(Sand–Jecklin & Sherman 2013).
· Does the literature review provide support for the importance of future study research?

Theme Of Minority Report
Said to be inspired by the curiosity of our future and impacts our rapid advancement in technology
on future society, the 2002 film minority report, by Steven Spielberg is set in the futuristic setting of

Essay about Minority Report
Minority Report is a 2002 science fiction film directed by renowned director Steven Spielberg and is
set in the year 2054 in Washington, D. C. The film revolves around an elite law enforcing squad;
Precrime. The Precrime Division uses three genetically altered humans called Pre–Cogs whom
possesses special powers to see into the future and predict crimes beforehand. After each crime is
foreseen and analyzed, Precrime police officers are sent to the crime location to apprehend the
future murderers and place them under arrest. The future murderers are then put into a sleep state
with a device called a "halo". Based on Minority Report, it suggests that humans are free willed

Before he was haloed, Anderton managed piece back the puzzle and finally knew who set him up
and as of why he was targeted. The reason was because he knew about Anne Lively who is Agatha's
mother. Anne Lively, a former drug addict when she had Agatha, came back wanting her child back,
and Burgess had to kill her in order to keep Precrime viable since Agatha is the strongest among all
three Pre–Cogs. Burgess had then set up Anderton to cover up Anderton's knowledge about Anne
Lively's murder. Lara, Anderton's wife felt suspicious with Lamar so she visited Anderton and got
him out of his sleep. During the celebratory dinner for the Precrime program, Anderton calls
Burgess and confronts him while the Pre–Cog's footage of Lively's death is played for the guests.
During the moment when Burgess was searching for Anderton, the Pre–Cogs predetermined that
Burgess was going to shoot and kill Anderton. As Burgess finds and draws a gun on Anderton,
Anderton notes to Burgess the dilemma that he is in: either he can shoot and kill Anderton, therefore
signifying that Precrime is a well established and flawless division however by doing so he will
become a murderer himself, on the other hand he can spare Anderton's life, thus showing that
Precrime is nothing but a failure. All the hard work that they had all put in will go down the drain in
the matter of seconds. As a result, Burgess decided to commit

Should Informational Reports Be Written Directly Or...
Do you think informational reports should be written directly or indirectly? For what reasons would
an analytical report be written with a direct or an indirect approach? State your reasoning.
1) I think informational reports should be written directly because the purpose of these reports are to
inform the reader of something. Therefore, the main idea of the message should be introduced first.
Like an informational report, analytical reports are written to provide information and should also
lay out the findings and data in the beginning, then provide evidence for why things are this way.
What technology trends do you think will affect business reporting and delivery in the future?
2) As technology progresses, I believe reporting has become hundreds of times faster. With the
technology available, research can be done in a matter of minutes, and when that report is done you
can send it anywhere in the world instantaneously. The website Chron explains: "Whether you need
to speak with an employee who is traveling in another state or country or you need to communicate
with your supplier halfway around the world, technology allows you to do so instantaneously. In
fact, according to Walden University, the Internet has allowed business people to communicate
easily regardless of timezone and language issues" (Morley, 2016, para 2). ... Show more content on

to give management a new perspective of its own performance. The report could also serve to make

resulted in the company losing credibility. In other words, the communication breakdown that
Steelcase experienced was a result of management's failure to provide transparent, "insight into

Minority Report Ethical Issues
Minority Report
Minority Report, the most contemporary of the movies that we have analyzed, is set in a future
dystopian Washington D.C. where law is able to be predicted and everyone's eyes are linked to the
same system that allows to government to monitor you. The film depicts a few areas of law
differently than anything we have studied so far. The first is the monetization of law which leads
into the second, which is the questioning of the morality of certain types of law
Monetizing law. The third is that the main character, John Anderton, is involved in a fugitive type of
law for most of the movie. The monetization of law in this film is the first ethical question brought

Learning to report as a cop can be viewed as its own language, with its distinct set of norms and
expectations. In order for an individual to master a language, they must first grasp the ordinates
associated with it. Collets vindicate that as a cop "crime reports are written in neutral diction, and in
the dispassionate uni–voice that's testament to the academy's ability to standardize writing. They feel
generated rather than authored, the work of a single law enforcement consciousness rather than a
specific human being." The ability to detach opinion and bias is crucial in reporting. Only through
practice, is one competent to perform this reporting effectively. In the cop department you will have
officers who enjoy writing reports, carefully documenting their activities, and painting "word

officers who don't particularly enjoy writing reports and it is evident on the pages they complete.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Administrative Reports
Administrative Reports
Overview with tools, software, best practices and alternatives
What is an administrative report?
An administrative report is a document that presents the status and progress of certain work within a
team or a company.
Who does administrative reports?
An administrative report is usually done by a person with an administrative function. Common
examples are office secretaries and administrative delegates. Those with higher position such as
managers and supervisors are also eligible to create an administrative report.
Why do people write administrative reports?
Administrative reports are prepared to give the current status and progress of a certain project within
a team or a company. The report aims to note all aspects of the project within the team, including the

Since the reports inform team members about these existing or rising issues, they will be able to
strategize and develop a plan to counter and resolve such issues.
Disadvantages of administrative reports
While administrative reports help in the workflow of a team's project, it also presents some flaws.
Some administrative reports have inaccurate or incomplete information, which may adversely affect
the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of data. For instance, inaccuracy of the
numbers in an inventory report in an administrative report may affect the succeeding shipment of
products. Another example is a list of cases in an administrative report in a hospital. Failure to list
all kinds of cases may change the results when data are analyzed.
The other negative point in administrative reports is that some readers only read the end part – the
summary, conclusion, and recommendation. It may sometimes end up the reader asking questions,
instead of reading the whole paper.

Shortcomings And Weaknesses Of The Mazars Report
What are the shortcomings/weaknesses that you are seeing in integrated reporting in general
(including the Mazars Report)?
From the Mazars Report, there is some shortcoming of integrated reporting (IR) but these
shortcoming are potential to be improved to be a better one as IR is a process of continuation and
improvement of current reporting approaches. Following are the shortcomings of IR from the
Mazars Report:
Risk and opportunities can be identified and explained, however, it is lack of details in analysis and
mitigation measures.
In the event that vital goals are frequently all around portrayed in various time scales, the connection
with resources allocation could be better in the IR.
The integrated performance indicators is weak in term of publication.
Complexity and lack of clarity has pointed out by Welch (2013), Associated of Chartered Certified
Accountants' head of policy, as a potential weakness of IR. Initial objective of IR is to reduce
complexity and increase clarity; however, it might distort the objective of IR while a set of non–

What are Client Reports?
Client reports are documents that contain pertinent data or updates about the standing and progress
of the team and the business. The primary goal of these reports is to provide adequate knowledge to
its readers like other team members, the team leaders, and the team's affiliates.
Who does Client Reports?
Client reports are usually generated by the members of the team, while there are times in which even
the team leaders themselves also produce a report for the clients. Businesses submit reports about
updates on their products and services to clients as these influence their clients' patronage to the

More than that, additional information can be presented in the client report, allowing the team to
formulate better plans, develop more efficient strategies, and execute more effective actions.
Disadvantages of Client Reports
Even though client reports can be helpful in several ways, there are also some instances in which
they can present negative impact to the business team.
One disadvantage is the likelihood of clients to withdraw their connection with a company after the
revelation of decreasing trends. Clients aim for the best products and service and seeing a business
or a company flunk in the market makes them feel that they are not suitable partners for the
company.
Another negative point of writing a client report is its tedious nature, leading team members and
leaders to see it as a time–consuming activity. Team members want to be productive in their work in
the office, but there are times in which they see report writing as an additional workload, which
divides the time they have for all their tasks.

The risk of audit error is the probability an auditor has reached an inaccurate conclusion, which is
why the auditor must review all workflows, policies and procedures prior to drawing any conclusion
from the samples they have pulled. A written auditor's opinion is a report published by the auditor to
ascertain company procedures used, the audit scope, and the results from testing. Many interested
parties, such as business owners and investors, review this report. The auditors are responsible in
finding errors, cut costs, and improve the overall general accounting used by a company. The auditor
is to verify company records against the information the company has provided. It is important for
auditors to plan and execute the audit to achieve reasonable assurance. The main strategy of
completing the audit is to obtain an understanding of the client's financial statements, operating
processes, and governance policies. The auditor must adopt a blueprint to determine the external
factors that could adversely affect the company's operations. The auditor needs to evaluate
regulatory practice and ongoing litigation events. With these strategies in place, the audit should be
easily streamlined to stay on track and completed in the designated timeframe.

Scientific Reports And Discoveriesalways Attract The Media.
Scientific reports and discoveries always attract the media. Multiple cases have been turned into
media reports. One case is the issue that "Smoking During Pregnancy Seems to Alter Fetal DNA".
With this case there are numerous reports written as well as scientific research. There is a very
distinct difference in news reports on the issue and actual scientists reporting their tests and
hypotheses. In order to understand the differences one must first consider the rhetorical model. The

The reason for doing this is the news reporter's exigence, or reason for writing the article is to just
provide the public with a story and explain the most important details to try to get the public
interested in their stories. The news reporter also has a deeper exigence beyond just writing a story,
the news reporter gets paid accordingly to how popular their reports are, therefore in reality, news
reporters write to get paid, rather than to make a difference in the scientific community. The article
goes on to say that the research "may help improve understanding" , in this news report stating that
it may help, just provides the reader with the thought that the writer doesn't clearly know the
findings just what they have read on the issue, whereas the scientific report intelligibly states the
facts because the news reporter is in a discourse community of just writing and reporting, no
scientifically based knowledge is needed in their field, so reporters don't need to know much about
what they are reporting on, as long as they know the most important details.
There are other substantial contrasts between the two as well. In a news report the writer or reporter
is only skilled in the expertise of media and whatever path of schooling and research they took, in
contrast the scientist has an educational background and knows more about studies and science in
general. Therefore the scientist knows more about how

All of the characters, Tom Cruise as John Anderton especially, do a great job displaying the events
that take place throughout the film. Cruise has a remarkable way of helping the film viewers see his
emotions. Through his acting, you can sense the emotions that his character is feeling without it
having to actually be said. This type of emotional and physical acting from Cruise is exceptional
after Anderton witnesses himself murdering a stranger in the vision. The viewer can tell from that
moment the confusion and terror Anderton is feeling. Cruise's acting throughout Minority Report is
easy for the viewers to connect to, making it a more interesting film to watch. Another job well done
in the acting aspect of this film is by Samantha Morton who plays the role of Agatha. Morton
successfully helps the viewer connect with her character in an emotional aspect. When watching the
film, it is easy to sense Agatha's vulnerability and take her as an innocent and fearful character, as
she is haunted by the many things she has seen. This characterization of Agatha is easily seen when
Anderton takes her out into public and she clings to him, as if she is a child. The acting of Samantha
Morton helps the viewer sense Agatha's terror and vulnerability throughout the film. The acting of

his first police report and is not doing a good job. His officer was disappointed at what he had read
in his report; he's going to show the rookie how it's done. The officer's report was not only 50%
longer, but full of jargon. The rookie cop stated, "Why do we write like that?" "Because that's the
way we've always done it," replied the officer. After years of being a cop and writing real police

1 and spit on Victim No. 2. So the question to the puzzle is who's who; now you're going back to the
first page of the report to find out. Another problem is placing a label in front of a name; only
adding unnecessary wording and needless work. For example, there's no need to say Suspect Lynn
told Victim Cole to, shut up or I'll punch you again. State, "Lynn told Cole to..." Once you've
documented who participated and to who did what, refrain from using labels. This will make the
readers' and your job easier; document all the important facts. Rutledge suggests, "Don't use labels if
you can avoid it."
WHODUNIT?
If someone reading your police report has to play a guessing game as to who did what; then an
important piece is missing from your report. When the trial date approaches, are you really going to
remember who collected what, who searched what if you don't put a name in front of the action
done. For example, by stating Officer Killinger saw cocaine in plain view on the floor of the car;
instead of saying the The Assigned Officer saw cocaine...., you know Officer Killinger found the
cocaine in the car. Then the attorneys know who to subpoena to the fact that cocaine was found in
the car. Sketches at scenes are common and are useful as to who and where certain evidence was
found; sketches can paint a picture not only for jurors and judges, but it will also be beneficial for
you and your colleagues to remember who did what, when they

psychics, referred to as pre–cognitives (or "pre–cogs") to generate not only the name of the victim
and perpetrator, but also the evidence against them: hence the crime of murder is reduced to a black
and white picture. Anytime the Pre–cogs' visions are in conflict a Minority Report is generated, yet
it is also destroyed except for what the pre–cog who predicted it remembers deep within their mind.
John Anderton is the Chief–of–Police of PreCrime, a department of the police that deals with
murder and uses pre–cogs. His son was kidnapped, driving him to PreCrime, and preventing further
loss of innocent life. His faith in the system is rooted his loss, and up to his accusation, unfaltering.
His faith begins to falter when he discovers that there is missing data regarding some of the victims
and perpetrators. This leads him to question the system, which eventually leads those in charge to
arrange for his arrest for the future murder of Jim Crow. Convinced of ... Show more content on

This question is one with not only a religious undertone, but a moral one. Is there an alternative
future for one forecasted to commit murder? What if you knew your future was murder? With John
we have a person who is committed to upholding the law, and we should expect that he would not
murder someone – especially if he had previous knowledge that he was to commit it. Yet by the end
of the movie we learn that there is no minority report for him. He is destined to kill Crow. His
choice is to arrest him for the kidnap and murder of his son, thereby restoring justice and creating

Beveridge Report On The Welfare State
This essay will discuss the key points of the 'Beveridge report' (1942), and evaluate the significance
of the report on the welfare state. In November 1942, William Beveridge presented a report called,
'Social Insurance and Allied Services' to parliament. This was a summary of principles to improve
upon the existing welfare benefits system, to benefit working people and the population. The
document proposed a new system to be operated by one governing agency, called Social Security.
This would be put in place by the state after World War 2 had ended. Overall Beveridge created the
most revolutionary document in our history. Beveridge has played a significant role in evolving the
Welfare State over the decades. (Robinson, 2003).

Administration – The Social Insurance scheme would need to make big changes to the
administration process for this scheme to run smoothly and be successful. Beveridge wanted every
worker to obtain one insurance document weekly, rather than two. He saw this as an opportunity for
the new system to be under one governing agency called The Ministry of Social Security. The new
system also implemented 'classes' to the National Insurance scheme, such as: Class I for employees:
Class II for Employers, traders, self–employed and any other independent workers: Class III
Housewives (this has now been amended for all people of working age, who have had a break in
employment, or earn too little for it to be recorded): Class IV Others of working age or not working
(self employed).
The National Insurance scheme is still in force today, some changes have since been made to the
insurance classes, but it still has the same point. The class you pay depends on your employment
status and how much you earn, and whether you have any gaps in your National Insurance record. A
great way to make the National Insurance more functional was changing the original two piece
document just to one. Over 20 million people received these documents, so in essence this saved
time, money and paperwork. Beveridge's overall goal was to set in motion a strong Social Insurance
Scheme that was functional and up to date, benefiting all involved to make the

Existing problems After interviews with staff regarding our daily operations, which mostly involve liaising with buyers, handling customers' enquiries and following up on orders, the following problems have been identified: Twelve new employees have been hired since December, increasing our headcount to twenty–four. However, only twelve functional laptops and five printers are available now and this slows down the work procedures of the company. Moreover, staff training is inadequate, especially when we have installed a new software programme for our inventory management system. The management agreed in the last meeting to allocate $80,000 for additional equipment and training. Possible solutions Purchasing new laptops and printers Twelve additional laptops are needed for each employee to have an individual laptop for work and at least seven more printers have to be purchased if every two employees are sharing one printer. The Lesson 2 LAN4107 E&C: Reports (AS) Student Package most affordable laptop and printer on the market would cost $7,500 and $3,000 per unit respectively. Thus, the total cost would be $111,000. • 6. Lab Report : Science Or Engineering Course Essay A full laboratory report is usually required in a science or engineering course that has a laboratory section. Believe it or not, a lab report (as they are commonly referred to) is actually a learning tool to help you get more out of your lab and classroom experience. You typically enter a lab session with some hypothesis, such as "copper conducts heat more quickly than steel." You will review the basic concepts behind the experiment, such as the definition of conductivity and whether heat flows from hot to cold. Then, you follow a defined procedure for performing a test to verify whether your hypothesis is correct or not. A key part of that test is recording data. The data will be analyzed and used to either support or reject your hypothesis. Usually one to two weeks later, you will submit a laboratory report summarizing what you did and what you learned. Before you leave the lab session, remember that it is a good idea to record all the equipment you used (including manufacturer, model and serial number), make sure you have all the data you need, take some pictures of your setup (to refer to later, or to include in your report), and make sure you still have a copy of the procedure you used. Believe it or, if you have gathered all that information then you have already started on your report. A full lab report typically has six sections: Introduction: What is your hypothesis? What is the scope of your report? In short, tell the reader what you are running tests to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. A Report On A Formal Report A formal report provides information on a particular problem or subject and gives a recommended course of action based on that information. Some of the different kinds of reports are feasibility studies, research reports, position papers and problem reports. Each type of report has its own set of requirements for effectiveness, but they have a lot of common elements which will be discussed in this paper. In addition to the components that make up a report, writing a report requires a technique or process that ensures the proper research is accomplished and the right data is included. Some people use checklists while others use a set of questions to ensure all the bases are covered. I will touch on the procedure for writing a report after the components section. Components of Formal Reports: Front matter, body and end matter are the major components of most formal reports. Each major component is made up of several subsections which can be removed or added as needed. Front Matter: The front matter precedes the text (Lannon & Guark, 2014 p. 533) or, "body" of the report, its purpose is to introduce and summarize the report and contains the following elements; A letter that introduces the report (transmittal letter) to the person or group that asked for it. • 12. An Audit Report On An Auditor Introduction An audit report is an opinion written by an auditor regarding the financial statements of an organization. The report is prepared using a format that is standard and generally accepted. However, there can be variations in the report; it only depends on the circumstances of the work and the engagement of the auditor (Asare & Wright pg. 198). An auditor 's opinion can either be a clean opinion, qualified opinion, adverse opinion or a disclaimer opinion. An honest opinion is given if the financial statements show a fair representation of an organization 's financial position. A qualified opinion is offered if there were any limiting factors imposed on the work of the auditor. An adverse opinion is delivered if there was a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the two audit reports of 2014, and 2015 we can see that there was communication between both parties that is the auditors and the accountants of the firm. The ISA was used as a guideline on how the auditors communicated with the accountants by guiding the auditing team on the specific items that needed communication with the governance group. This enabled both teams to understand matters that related to audit and also was a base for a working relationship that was constructive. The auditors focused on this ISA to ensure that they remained objective, transparent, and independent as they conducted the audit of the financial statements of the enterprise and also the reporting of the audited information (Andon & O'Dwyer, pg. 1400). The audit reports of 2014 and 2015 use the ISA 570 where the auditor responsibility has to audit the financial reports about how the management uses the going concern aspect when preparing the financial statements. Therefore, the going concern assumption allows one to view a company as a business that will continue with its operations in the future. Additionally, the management prepares their financial reports using this assumption unless the organization intends to cease its operations or liquidate their assets (Bhattacharyya, pg 20). Therefore, the auditors in both reports show that the organization is going to continue with their transactions shortly because the assets together with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A person can die from a physical illness, viruses and infections. A person can die from an accident. A person can commit suicide. Finally a person can be murdered by another person. What if murders could be prevented? In P.K. Dick's story The Minority Report, and in Spielberg's film The Minority Report, the future can be altered by using incredible technology. The success of Spielberg's adaptation of Dick's short story to film can be determined by the way each was presented. The Minority Report by Spielberg is about a one man conspiracy to keep pre crime up and running. In the book by Dick, there is a larger conspiracy to destroy precrime. The final results are opposite as well; in the book precrime was maintained and still operational. In the movie, precrime was shut down and destroyed. The methods of precrime are also different. In the book, there are three precogs which mutter an indecipherable language, which a machine interprets into images of a murder. Then a card comes out of the machine with the name of the killer and name of the victim on it. Spielberg made a more modern method out of this. In the movie, images are taken directly from the three precogs brain and then interpreted by a person who tries to find out the location of the murder. Also there are two wooden balls made, one with the name of the killer and the other with the name of the victim, on them. The movie also goes deeper into the creation of precrime, how crack babies whom had an odd gift/curse of dreaming of murder became used to prevent murder. It also shows why Anderton joined precrime, to make sure no one else would suffer like he did when he lost his son. The precogs in the book and movie are very different. First off their names in the book are Donna, Jerry and Mike. In the movie their names are Agatha, Arthur and Dashiell. • 21. Analysis Of Minority Report The 2002 film, Minority Report, seems to contain the aspects of a Kantian approach, but when analysing the movie in further detail, does it hold its place? The Pre–crime program punishes individuals for having the intent to murder another, even when the action does not take place. Kant elaborates his standards pertaining ethics in Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals, where Pre– crime can be further understood. Minority Report takes place in the year 2054, crime is virtually eradicated from Washington D.C. due to the Precrime crew. The program uses three gifted humans, known as Pre–Cogs, to see in the future and predict crimes beforehand. Kant's first proposition is an action has moral worth only if it is done out of duty, such as when someone who has absolutely no interest in donating to the poor does so out of duty. His second proposition is that action has moral worth not because of its aim, but because of the maxim on which it is based, meaning that it would not matter if the intent failed, as long as the principle was good. His third proposition is that duty is the necessity of an action from respect for the law, such as if an individual is in an embarassing spot, they could will the lie, but not will the maxim to lie. Kant argues that everything is secretly done in self benefit, an example can be an individual helping another merely for the fulfilled feeling. Comparing Kantian aspects to Minority Report can be done with ease. Kant's second proposition, that an action has moral worth because of its maxim, can be further understood in the Pre–crime stance. The Pre–crime organization is in place in order to stop murders. Individuals, such as Anderton, are sought out to be arrested before they even comprehend the crime. However, Kant would argue that the arrest is valid due to the fact that they are capable of such an intention, even if the act was not committed. In the entire review of this film, I will be discussing some specific aspects such as few scenes from the movie, some technical aspects and the intended audience of the film. In addition I will add my own opinion to all the aspects throughout this paper. Finally I will round off my review by concluding why this film is worth of watching both for personal entertainment and academic purpose. In this film Tom Cruise plays the role of protagonist as Chief John Anderton. The role of antagonist is played by Max von Sydow as Director Lamar and Colin Farrell as Danny Witwer. Besides, one of the vital roles is played by Samantha Morton as Agatha. This movie takes place during the year of 2054 in Washington, D.C. Tom Cruise as John Anderton is an officer working for an organization called Pre–Crime. In Pre–Crime there are three twins called as Precog who have the ability to visualize murder in the near future. In the Pre–Crime there is a red ball which shows the name of the future murderer when the Precogs predict any murder. The task of John Anderton and his squad is to stop these murders before happening and there has not been a single murder in last six years. For what reasons would an analytical report be written with a direct or an indirect approach? State your reasoning. 1) I think informational reports should be written directly because the purpose of these reports are to inform the reader of something. Therefore, the main idea of the message should be introduced first. • 81. Stereotypes In Minority Report Minority Report is an oddly misplaced mystery/action movie about a cop who is accused of a future murder. Set in early 21st century Washington, DC, the police have the ability to stop murders before they happen with the help of three psychics. They use technology to enhance the visions of these psychics, referred to as pre–cognitives (or "pre–cogs") to generate not only the name of the victim and perpetrator, but also the evidence against them: hence the crime of murder is reduced to a black and white picture. Anytime the Pre–cogs' visions are in conflict a Minority Report is generated, yet it is also destroyed except for what the pre–cog who predicted it remembers deep within their mind. John Anderton is the Chief–of–Police of PreCrime, a department of the police that deals with murder and uses pre–cogs. In November 1942, William Beveridge presented a report called, 'Social Insurance and Allied Services' to parliament. This was a summary of principles to improve upon the existing welfare benefits system, to benefit working people and the population. The document proposed a new system to be operated by one governing agency, called Social Security. This would be put in place by the state after World War 2 had ended. Beveridge wanted every worker to obtain one insurance document weekly, rather than two. The new system also implemented 'classes' to the National Insurance scheme, such as: Class I for employees: Class II for Employers, traders, self–employed and any other independent workers: Class III Housewives (this has now been amended for all people of working age, who have had a break in employment, or earn too little for it to be recorded): Class IV Others of working age or not working (self employed). The National Insurance scheme is still in force today, some changes have since been made to the insurance classes, but it still has the same point. The class you pay depends on your employment status and how much you earn, and whether you have any gaps in your National Insurance record. A great way to make the National Insurance more functional was changing the original two piece document just to one.
