will just run around the room, acting like animals, and will not try to get any work done, thinking
that you will do it for them. These individuals will mess with your plans in anyway possible,

These people will give you lousy excuses for not finishing their part of the project, and make the
rest of the group agitated. They will also ruin your grade on this project. Unless you want to stay up
all night to do their work to salvage you and your teammates' grades, you will not be getting a good

people who are frustrating, there are the people who will work with you and want a good grade as

As generations go by, our predecessors assume we are skipping out on important aspects of life just
to get a few extra minutes on our devices. In Catherine Rampell's "A Generation of Slackers? Not
So Much", it is said the older generations believe Generation Y is "coddled, disrespectful,
narcissistic, and impatient" (Rampell 388). In all reality our generation is just doing what it has to in

To most people that do not like that person it might seem harmless but other children want to grow

Know–It–All Ne'er–Do–Wells In the article "A Generation of Slackers? Not So Much", by
Catherine Rampell, the author analyzes and challenges the popular stigma that Millennials are the
laziest generation to have ever existed. Rampell begins her article with a staggering fact: "The
unemployment rate for 16– to 24–year–olds is a whopping 17.6 percent" (Rampell 388). And
according to seventy–five percent of Americans, "Today's youth are less virtuous and industrious
than their elders" (Rampell 388). This may seem like an incredibly high percentage of Americans,

Generally, lazy people are not admired. Society, as a whole, prefers those who are willing and able
to actively and positively contribute to its progress. Effort is praised while indifference can typically
be seen as shameful. Christopher Morley understands this. In his short essay, "On Laziness," he
indirectly confronts the slothful in an effort to make them see the error of their ways. Morley deals
with the topic of laziness in a overly sarcastic and satirical tone to stress the absurdity of the trait.
Early in his essay, Morley utilizes irony that made it evident that his essay on the supposed benefits
of laziness is meant to be treated as a satire. He in no way is actually believing what he is explicitly
stating. The opening statement can only reasonably be viewed as an intentional joke. Morley claims
that he intends "to write an essay on Laziness but [is] too indolent to [even] do so." Yet, the paper
does not end here; he continues on and completes an entire academic essay, blatantly contradicting
his first sentence in it. If Morley stays true to his words and fully believes in the value of idleness,
no work would have been made to defend it. He makes the sarcasm even more obvious through his
deliberate choice of words. While criticizing activeness and energy, Morley spoke of having "a
determined effort to be more languid and demure." It is paradoxical to try to be lazy. Putting in
effort and making an attempt to be so goes against its basic definition. Morley provides examples of

I took the Big Five questionnaire and the LIFE survey. Both of these surveys collect self reported
data (S–data). Self reported data is very beneficial to researchers in that it allows them to gain
knowledge only known by the individual. Questionnaires and surveys which provide S–data are
limited by the answers provided. It is easy to lie or skirt the truth when self reporting data. In my
opinion, the Big Five questionnaire was a more accurate assessment of my personality than was the

The LIFE survey was very similar to the Big Five in that it measures personality in multiple
dimensions and then gives a numerical score for each dimension. The dimensions on the LIFE
survey are suburbanite, cultured, slacker, and preppie. In the suburbanite dimension, I scored 8 out
of 13. According to the survey, people who score higher in the suburbanite dimension live a more
conventional life style and tend to be more family oriented and conservative than those who score
lower. I agree with this score. I tend to be more of a homebody and I enjoy cooking, which is a sign

This person is constantly busy at work and rarely takes a moment to relax. He or she is always
trying to impress the manager and tries to keep themselves occupied throughout their whole shift.

Volleyball Games
Going through our warm up, like all volleyball games start, Brenna and I get our arms loose and get
our brains ready for action. We throw the ball back and forth. We go through all the drills of our
warm up until the buzzer rings. Finally it is game time. The ball flies across the net to the other
team. We all stand in our positions waiting for the return. The ball comes and two of my teammates
go for the same ball. One yells, "Got it!" while the other just stand there assuming the other one
knows they are going to get it. The ball shanks off and hits the floor. My teammates and I come

These days it's hard to find a good paying career without at least an associate's degree. This leads
many people to college. People are different, and although they all came with the same goal they
pursue it differently. College students can be organized into these three groups slackers, average
students, and the overachievers. The first group are slackers, and like the name suggests the slack off
in all things school related. They most likely don't have a clear goal for going because of this they
