Smart schools aim to enhance students' abilities and prepare them for the digital age. However, there are several challenges to implementing smart schools in Malaysia including a lack of technical staff and infrastructure. Schools face issues like limited internet access in rural areas, high costs of electronic facilities, and outdated courseware and hardware. Additionally, some teachers lack experience with information and communication technologies which can make the transition to smart learning difficult. Potential solutions involve providing more ICT training for teachers, ensuring students and teachers are ready for change, and collaborating with private companies for financial support.
