2. INTRODUCTION :
The Modelling and Simulation is related computer application
which play role in helping the people to understand and be
trained for something easily.
Models may include a graphical display that you can see on
computer screen or by means of some other visual devices.
Simulation generally refers to a computerized version of the
model which is run over the time to study the implications of
the defined interactions.
3. Example :
In biology education, the training
simulators would include the Stella
simulation for biological control in
palm oil ecosystem.
4. Simulation Control Panel ( ORI )
From the graph, we can see clearly the relationship between owl and rats produce
Is positive. When the population of rats decrease the owl also decrease because of
lack ok of food supply. At years 11.00 the owl and rats increase because the increasing
of palm –oil resource. Its seen like normal graph.
5. Graph 1 : Low population of owls Vs. high
population of rats
When the quantity of owl is 5 and the rats is 20000, the relationship between owl
and rats is not equilibrium. At the early year, the population of owl is increase because
Food supply from rats and palm-oil resource is many and its decrease suddenly
because lack of food.
6. Graph 2 : high population of owls Vs. low
population of rats
In this graph we can see the population of owl is 5 and rats 2000 is in dangerous or
not equilibrium. When the high population of owls it will effect the growth of rats.
The decrease of owl and rats will effect the palm-oil resource at the
20.00 years. Where the population of rats increase and the palm oil resource wil
decrease. And the owl is not exists anymore.
7. Advantages of using
Simulations
1. Enchance student
motivation
Students play an active
role in their learning
process and build their
own knowledge
3. Provide risk free
environment
Students will become
less fear to face the
failure when doing
their works on
simulation
4. Allow experiment
exploration
Simulation software, Stella
especially provides useful
features where the
students can alter the
variables when using its.
2. Equipped students with
problem solving skills
Simulations facilicate
situated learning by
providing interactive
practice of real world
skills, focusing on the
essential elements of a
real problems.
8. Disadvantages of using
Simulations
1. Need to buy lisence before we can use
the software
2. Can be only accessed by PC or laptop to
use the software
3. Some students may not be able to use
the simulation because there is no proper
tutorial or guidance from experience
person.
9. Conclusion :
Simulation is the
powerful tool in
assisting in the
teaching and
learning process
in school
Provide
interesting and
exciting mode of
learning to the
new generations
