Halkes
• Originally started up to release rave and dance music and as a
offshoot of Beggars Banquet records’ more commercial dance
label called Citybeat
• Although the label originally started out as a label for dance
and rave music, it has changed over the years and now releases
music from all genres
4. Would they be suited to your
artist and why?
I think to an extent XL Recordings would be suited for our
artist. The reason for this is because, as they help independent
artists get recognition it is very useful to us. For instance,
through their social media pages such as Twitter they can
promote our artists music, which would be shared to all their
followers who will be able to share it with others. However,
from my research I found that they commonly work with
bands whereas for our music video we only have one singer.
