• Who will release the album of your artist and why?
look at a diverse range of record labels. Create
synergy between record label and artist. Make sure
there is a clear understanding of which record label
the artist is singed to on the website and on digipak

3. Record company 1- Sub pop records
• Sub Pop records, which has signed
artsits such as Kurt Cobain, Iron
and wine, the Vaseline's, Mudhoney
will be the record company that will
release Charlies album. This is
because Sub Pop records is largey
representative of what Charlie and
his music represent. It is something
that is out of the box and forward
thinking, and this is exactly what
Sub Pop try endorse and release.
They are also largely involved in
Charlies genre which is alternative/
progressive rock. Therefore it is
blatant the amount of synergy
between Charile Howe and Sub Pop
records

4. Record company 1- Sub pop
records
• The reason those artists such as
Mudhoney and Iron and Wine were/
are signed to sub pop records is
that they are not mainstream artists,
they are much more low key and
unrecognised, and this is exactly
what Charlie wants to be. He wants
to stay true to the roots of his music
and truly represent its the music
before money ideology.
• There is further synergy between
Charile and Sub pop records as
they singed one of his biggest
inspirations Kurt Cobain when he
was first starting out

5. Record company
2-Matador records
• Matador records is another record
company that relates and has synergy
with Charlie Howe. They have singed a
number of significant artists that Charlie
also finds as inspirations such as Lou
Reed, Kurt Vile and Sonic Youth.
• These artists are all/were singed to
Matador records because it is not a
money driven commercial record
company. It is based a lot on artists
preferences such as staying true to
artists values, not selling out and
sticking to the niche audience. These
are all also values of Charlies and
therefore represent his synegery with
the label and why he would possibly
sign with them

6. Record company
3- Universal music
group
• For the last record company we
choose a label that Charile would not
sign to and does not have Synergy
with. There singed artists are huge
mainstream artists such as Adele,
Taylor Swift and Coldplay.
• Universal music group is a classic
example of a big commercial record
label that is money driven. They only
sign the most popular, radio
appropriate artists and usually these
artists image are constructed by the
Universal music group. This is the
complete opposite of what Charile
and his music represent and therefore
there is no synergy between our
artists and this record company.
