2. Results that Make a Difference
● What does the situation require
● How should I make the greatest contribution with my strengths, my
way of performing , my values ,to what needs to be done
● What results have to be achieved to make a difference
● This then leads to the action conclusion
● What to do
● Where to start
● How to start
● What goals and deadlines to set
3. Identify Strengths
● Concentrate on Strengths
● Work on improving your strengths
● Recognize disabling habits (arrogance , lack of
desire to learn new things)
● Remedy bad habits and bad manners (impolite
behaviour affects teamwork)
● Figure out what you should not do
4. How do I perform
● Figure out your workstyle ( do I prefer to
read/listen/work alone/work in groups)
● Compare it to your personal values and strengths . If it
adheres to your strength but contradicts your values , do
not take up the assignment
PERFORMANCE THAT VIOLATES YOUR VALUES CORRUPTS YOUR
STRENGTHS AND ULTIMATELY SAPS AND DESTROYS THEM
5. How successful careers are made
● They are not products of luck or planning .They are built
by those who are able to seize those opportunities that
match their own strengths , workstyles and values
● Analyze on opportunities and focus on the right few
● If an opportunity comes , think through the requirements
of a specific situation , your greatest potential
contribution and the results that must be achieved
6. Work Relationships
● Each person is an individual and there is likely to be
difference between yourself and others
● What matters is that everyone performs
● Consistent group performance can be achieved only if each
person within the group is able to perform as an
individual . You must build on other people’s strengths ,
workstyles and values
● Since communication is a two way process, you should feel
comfortable asking your coworkers to think through and
define their own strengths ,workstyles and values
